14.01.2022 Exciting Announcement: We are very pleased to announce that Wests Illawarra have come onboard as a Major partner and home to Shire to Shoalie Musos. The boa...rd and management are keen supporters of live music and the endeavours vision of Shire to Shoalie Musos. We will be running fortnightly jam sessions upstairs in the Audi room on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month, an opportunity for musicians in the Illawarra to come together in a supportive and inclusive environment. The jam nights have been extremely successful in the Sutherland Shire and were super excited to be able expand into the Illawarra region and provide not only a platform for musicians of all ages, but also opportunities for musicians attending the jams to have more opportunities for live paid gigs.. but more importantly a friendly networking community There are a number more exciting announcements coming in the next couple of days as well as more information regarding the jams, launch night and opportunities for musicians of all ages and genres.. both at Wests Illawarra and other venues in the area, the Sutherland Shire and Sydney We have a fantastic team, of key industry bodies, venues/promoters, partners, recording studios, who have incredible opportunities, promotions and projects to help invigorate the live music industry here in the Illawarra Once again a huge Thankyou to the incredible board and Management at Wests Illawarra. 02.01.2022 On behalf of Shed Records I sadly announce the passing of Dave Goodger to natural causes. Dave was the last brother of the Goodger brothers to still be playing. He played with the same band for over 50yrs. The Tornadoes are the longest playing band in the world and are in the Guinness Book of Records.... They have had success overseas in the country charts because of his drive and he never gave up on the band and their ambitions. Dave loved his music and loved the band.. For the many years I had known Dave he had become a very close and loyal friend and Dave will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Our love to his family and the Tornadoes.
