19.01.2022 With dry weather impacting the SMART Farm, ASKBILL is being used to develop strategies to maintain the condition of the core breeding mob and the pasture base of the lambing paddocks through winter. https://askbill.com.au/
18.01.2022 With 750 lambs moving onto a forage crop, the question facing the managers at UNE's SMART Farm was how long the paddock preparation and drenching strategy would protect the sheep from worm burdens as the weather changed. Let's ASKBILL for the outlook. https://askbill.com.au/

14.01.2022 Track your rams with the Ram Team Manager. You can also track changes in your team average over time and ensure that every time you buy rams you are making improvement in the traits that make you money. ... 12.01.2022 Flock Profile really helped us to work out what we had in our flock and where we had to make improvements. It helped with ram purchases and targeting rams that were better than our previous flock and ram team averages in order to drive improvement." - Karl Witt, WA. 12.01.2022 Knowing where your commercial flock sits for a range of key production traits can be a valuable tool, especially when it comes to buying rams. Mid North breeders Greg and Jane Kellock, are among 300 producers from across Australia who have used the new DNA Flock Profile Test in the past couple of years - through both Sheep CRC and ASKBILL. The DNA Flock Profile Test, developed from the wealth of information gathered by the the Sheep CRC Information Nucleus and provided by Neo...gen Australasia is also helping commercial Merino breeders improve their flock's genetics. 03.01.2022 "RamSelect is a great tool and has many functions that support the breeding decision making processes. I find the more you use the tool the more you are able to get out of it. I use the RamSelect platform in a number of ways, firstly to track clients ram teams both ram breeders and commercial breeders. The Ram Team Tracker is a fantastic way to follow the genetic progress of the ram team and the facility also allows you to identify any low hanging fruit. The Ram Team Tracker ...allows me to show clients the progress and direction the breeding program is heading. Having the direct interface with Sheep Genetics also allows us to have up to date ASBVs without having to down load and sort through a lot of data. We also use the RamSelect platform to store and review the Flock Profile tests, the flock average ASBVs are also updated as more data comes into Sheep Genetics RamSelect is a great tool and has many functions that support the breeding decision making processes. I find the more you use the tool the more you are able to get out of it. One of the main functions we use it for is to store our ram teams, so we can monitor them over time (as more data becomes available the ASBVs are updated), we can also re-adjust our breeding criteria as we achieve our objectives and set new goals. I also like the ability to down load the current data, so we can view it in a number of different mediums. I would recommend RamSelect it is a great tool for commercial breeders to search for rams and track their ram teams, it is also a good tool for ram breeders to list their sale team. RamSelect allows ranking of animals that meet your breeding objective, it is important that breeders set realistic parameters and also consider the production system that they are selecting rams for. If using the RamSelect tool to filter sale rams before a sale, it is important to also have a backup plan, second filter, if the sale prices are outside your budget." Sally is a sheep and wool consultant from Young in the South West slopes of New South Wales who uses RamSelect in her business. If you want to be like Sally and utilise a program with 12000 rams already online. Then follow the link below: https://okt.to/2cv1G8
