23.01.2022 Santa sent me some helpers!!! Dear Santa Thank you for my amazing pressie of two of my gorgeous clients suprising me as I finish my last working day of the year. Not only did they clean my salon, they brought food and of course my favourite, Prosecco! To be honest, I was actually surprised I got such an awesome present because we both know I’ve been a little naughty this year. ... I’ll try to be better in future and who knows, maybe next year, you could send me Brad Pitt instead?!?! Thanks again, Santa! You’re the best! 16.01.2022 NEW TRADING HOURS Hi Everyone, These are my new trading days and hours. ... I will be easing into these hours for the remainder of the year. They will be in permanent effect from 1st January 2021. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will have a 9:00pm finish. This means the latest for a colour is 6:00pm and the latest for just a haircut is 8:00pm. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays will have a 4:00pm finish. This means the latest for a colour is 1:00pm and the latest for just a haircut is 3:00pm. Jo

12.01.2022 WARNING: SERIOUS POST! Dear Clients, One of the things about being a hairdresser is that you hear about a lot of stuff that’s going around! You know the usual gigs, gossip and gags! Unfortunately one thing I have been hearing a lot of lately is that people have been sick with cold or flu like symptoms. Regardless, Covid or not, I’ve always maintained a strict policy with not having any clients in the salon whilst they are sick. ... This is for a number of reasons; Firstly, I am a sole trader, if I get sick then I don’t get paid. Secondly, despite the money factor, I am (most of the time) fully booked. If I get sick and have to take a week off work, that would mean I would have to cancel anywhere between 30 to 40 clients. When I’m already fully booked, there is nowhere to put these clients in the following week should I feel better by then. It brings a lot of stress on me and a lot of disappointment for the clients I’m cancelling. Thirdly, and I respectfully say, it is very selfish for anyone to be attending any appointments other than a doctors, when they are sick. If you are feeling any sort of SYMPTOMS that could be related to colds or flu’s or have been sick with a cold or flu WITHIN FIVE DAYS OF YOUR APPOINTMENT, I urge you to cancel your booking as soon as possible as sick clients WILL BE REFUSED SERVICE. I can afford one lost appointment, I cannot afford 30 lost appointments. Remember, if I am sick because a client came in and spread their cold or flu germs to me, it could be your appointment I’m cancelling. Help me stay healthy, so I can continue to do hair and keep everyone happy. Thank you Jo
