24.01.2022 We know 2020 has been a challenging time for all of us. And we all know someone that is doing it tough right now. A beautiful lady named Helen has bought 4 tickets to our Trolls movie fundraiser this weekend, and gifted them back to us so we can help another family enjoy the event. See, beautiful lady right? So... We want to hear from you! Share with us a family or 4 people you know that could do with an afternoon out to enjoy the movies. Tag them so they know you are wanting... to spoil them and tell us why you're thinking of them. Conditions: *Nominations close Friday 18 September at 3:00pm. *Winner will be drawn randomly and announced on our page on Friday 18 September at 5:00pm . *If the winner is unable to attend the event this Sunday 20/9 from 1:00-4:00pm we will redraw.

19.01.2022 We are a group of 9 women that are Mum's, run our own businesses, work 9-5 and volunteer our time for S.H.E Gynaecological Cancer Group and do what we can to make sure we are raising awareness of Gynaecological Cancer in Tasmania. Sometime we have plans that don't quite pull off or something else will lead us down a different path. Sometimes we have brand new paths that show up. We love and we are all very passionate about what we do. None of us have ever been diagnosed with... Gynaecological Cancer, but we have seen the effects due to loved ones and we know the statistics and lack of funding and awareness these cancers receive and we want to change this. We rely heavily on donations to allow us to keep going and working on our projects. We have created something really special for our Tasmanian Gynaecological Cancer patients and we would love to donate each patient in Tasmania. Being diagnosed with cancer of any form turns your life upside down and our hope is that we can help with this special gift. To work with us in making something special, please click the link below and donate what you can. Everyone that contributes in project will have a special mention in our special gift. We thank everyone so far who has booked tickets to our movie event and donated extra through the event, we are truly Blessed with the support we receive. https://www.trybooking.com/au/donate/shegynaetas

09.01.2022 Well this great news. With no early detection test for Ovarian Cancer, meaning women are diagnosed (on average) in the later stages, reading this is very positive. Whilst it sounds like it’s still a way off. "What we have to do is to find essentially an artificial way of making it, close to the form that's made by the body, we've been working on that," Professor Hertzog said.... Help us to keep raising awareness about all forms of Gynaecological Cancer, join us next Sunday at our Trolls World Tour movie event - click events to learn more and book your tickets.
08.01.2022 Congratulations Stephanie Mays! Nominated by Bonny Mawbz Please message us to confirm your tickets! Huge thanks again to Helen for her generous donation.
07.01.2022 The final piece to our 2020 puzzle for @shegynaetas. We are thrilled to share with you our newly created (and fresh off the printer) Wellbeing Journals for Cancer patients. A place where patients can write down questions for their medical team, what treatment they are on and most importantly Gratitude. Our board member and extraordinaire journal creator Erin has done an amazing job and we can not wait for our first 80 patients to receive theirs in our NEW care packs. ... A big thank you to Devine Property for making this possible with their generous donation. If you would like to join Devine Property and support us to reach our goal of ensuring every Tasmanian Gynaecological Cancer patients can receive one of these gorgeous care packs, you can make a donation by heading to https://www.trybooking.com/au/donate/shegynaetas.

06.01.2022 Something we seem to forget when we are going through challenging times. And even though this is more for the kiddos, I believe it’s important for us grown ups too.
06.01.2022 Ovarian cancer women and/or family wanted for survey - can you help? Emory University in Atlanta is developing a website to give patients and their family memb...ers information on genetic testing and free access to genetic counsellors. They are looking for ovarian cancer women and their families to participated in a short (10 minute estimated) survey, to help them better understand the needs of women and their families. To participate, email Regina at [email protected] for a copy of the survey. Participation is completely voluntary and responses are confidential. See more
01.01.2022 A story that needs to shared, I know this isn't the only story of it's kind. We need to own, understand and KNOW our bodies. We need to LISTEN to our bodies. If something doesn't feel right or is out for your "norm" please speak to your GP and keep speaking to them. If you are not happy with your answer or you feel you are not being listened to, seek another option.
