07.01.2022 Womens Football Presentations Our womens football side held a different looking presenation night on Friday, although unable to celebrate the sides season f...ace to face. The team still looked back on their year together and celebrated the seasons award winners. A quick message from coach Will Clayfield: Hey troops, These are strange days! I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate our girls on another brilliant season. I’m super proud of each and every player and of the efforts shown every training session and game-day. This season, the girls finished with a 4-5 record to wind up finishing 6th on the ladder. As is the case with most football seasons, the side had their fair share of adversities to overcome. The way the team bonded together and took on each and every challenge put in front of them with smiles on faces and without fuss deserves recognition of the highest order. Well done gang! It would be remiss of me to not mention the long list of sponsors, helpers and supporters. Thankyou for being the glue that held us together! In no particular order, i would like to thank the following: Jon Copping, Sam McDougall, Brett Skeer, Ben Wurst, Shaun Minge, Sam Davidson, Tim Finch, Josie Abbey, Alex Lambert, Marcus Devereux, Tanya Robbie and Tom Clayfield. Finally, all the girls that pulled on a jumper. Thankyou for giving me the chance to coach you. Love yas. After two years steering the ship, it’s time to let someone else have a crack. A heartfelt thankyou to anybody that has assisted me in the role over the last two seasons. I put my heart into it and got to know a lot of brilliant people that I otherwise wouldn't have. Football across the country has a bit of a cloud hanging over it at the moment, but one thing is for certain. Women's football is here to stay and it will continue to grow and improve and I look forward to watching this side ride that wave into the future.
