20.01.2022 It was my absolute pleasure to come to Tangalooma for Michael & Ailsa’s vow renewal to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. I married them on the same beach and Michael and I conspired over the last 8 months to pull off this surprise ceremony and we succeeded magnificently with only one actual meeting and a lot of very vague texts - I suggested sundown would be perfect and we timed it to perfection, surrounded by their closest family members. Today was a perfect day filled with love and promises for the rest of their lives I’ll post some more photos later.

15.01.2022 A very early start but so worth it for the beautiful sunrise that greeted Damien & Tracey as I pronounced them husband & wife ... perfectly timed so that the sun was rising as a fairytale backdrop to their photos.

14.01.2022 A 5am start to time our sunrise ceremony perfectly more photos later.

14.01.2022 Joanne & Dave wanted their wedding under the ‘tree with character’ at Toorbul!!!! It took a bit of coordination, but we got there in the end, helped no doubt by the dozens of motor bikes belonging to the wedding guests parked in the general vicinity. It was a lovely, laid back and relaxed ceremony and although rain threatened it stayed away until we were all signed, sealed and delivered. In this instance just to be a little different, Dave walked down the aisle towards Joanne & I much to the amusement of their friends and family.

12.01.2022 My last wedding for 2019 all done and the happy couple and their families are no doubt still partying on. Nikki & Matt only arrived here from New Zealand on 18th December so all the paperwork and planning was done via email. They chose today as it was the anniversary of their meeting 16 years ago so what better way to celebrate that anniversary than to create a brand new one. Nikki and her brother who gave her away danced their way down the sandy aisle towards Matt & Ollie to ‘I’m Sexy’ ... finishing perfectly for them all to do a ‘wiggle, wiggle, wiggle’ right on cue. This immediately set the tone for the ceremony which was light-hearted and fun-filled right to the end. Congratulations to you both.

11.01.2022 Yesterday Josh & Paige were married at their family property, tucked away safe and sound and respecting all the self isolation restrictions. It was just the way they wanted and were able to ‘invite’ all their family and friends to attend via their mobile device mounted on my tripod with a party to follow when the crazy days are over. Little Issy was flower girl - and her date for the big day was Elmo who had his very own chair as guest of honour!

10.01.2022 Today I met John & Noeline at Queens Beach for a very intimate wedding in just the spot they wanted - and despite the wind everybody was more than happy to be there to share in the happiness. I only met the happy couple a bit over a month ago which just goes to show that its not always necessary to have a long build up to the perfect wedding. Noeline looked absolutely lovely in a dusky pink dress which was perfect for their ceremony, floating in the breeze as they became ‘man and wife’ ... congratulations to you both

08.01.2022 Today would have been my parents' 68th wedding anniversary - married in St James Anglican Church Toowoomba with definitely an 'all the bells & whistles' wedding including studio photos, handpainted afterwards as colour just wasn't an option in 1952. Unfortunately Dad died on 12 December 1981, meaning that my mother has been a widow for many years more than she was a wife, however in her mind she has always been a wife - end of story!

07.01.2022 Today I was in Caboolture with Peter & Sarah at 10.30am to have their ceremony in their own backyard. Although it threatened to rain it stayed away and we were able to have the ceremony in front of the beautiful green wall of Murraya. The little doggies were decked out with pink and blue wings and managed to pop into just about every photo.

03.01.2022 I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day - it started early for me with a very quiet little wedding at 9am. My plan was to get home and electronically submit the documents to get ahead of the Valentines Day rush of registrations - and that worked perfectly as BDM notified me within a couple of hours that the marriage has been registered - pretty much a record for me which made my couple very happy. I took this photo when I was staying in the Maldives a couple of years ago - it was set up by the staff for a proposal dinner - and was very close to our villa so I couldn't resist taking a photo - hopefully she said yes!

03.01.2022 Even the ever changing Covid rules didn’t stop Stephen & Audrey’s wedding on 29th August - three different dates and venues before just 10 of us gathered in their home - but it was full of love and happiness as it should be. A mega-party will be held at an appropriate time when a bigger gathering is permitted

01.01.2022 Yesterday’s wedding was perfectly timed to beat the much needed rain which followed. This is one of my favourite places in Scarborough for an intimate wedding - its a circle of about 7 trees which over the years have formed a natural leafy canopy to shade the guests and it reminds me of a leafy little chapel. Alistair & Tha’s little daughter took her duties as ring bearer very seriously and stood between her parents for the entire ceremony, making this a lovely little family affair. The trees were decorated with fresh roses hanging from all kinds of ornamental bottles suspended from various branches, then seed lights were threaded along the beautiful bunting made especially for the occasion.

01.01.2022 Yesterday I had the awesome pleasure of marring Kimi & Mikey ... and it was lovely! Kimi and I hit it from from the second we met ... she is a big fan of pink hair and sparkles so boxes were ticked instantly. There ceremony was at their place surrounded by their family and friends ... tables groaned with delicious goodies and the whole atmosphere was one of happiness and love ... definitely one of my favourite ceremonies
