23.01.2022 Ive been a bit quiet on this page for a while - been busy finishing off the "For the Love of Frida" series of workshops - which were developed with the amazing Samadhi Hart - all birthed a bit over 12 months ago to lead up to our Mexico trip which is fast approaching..... we have hosted over 12 creative workshops celebrating the life of Frida Kahlo - with two to go... its been a crazy year but what it did do was connect us with other creatives and lovers of Frida - we are a s...pecial group! My new range of art pillows have been a little delayed because of all of this Frida-ness.... but heres an advanced look at one of the new designs... the "Cyndi" - part of the muses collection - Im thinking of calling this one "Noice, different, UNoosual.." but not sure if the reference is a little off.... anyway - here she is - Im trying to source the right fabric for this one as she has the most amazing gold leaf in her rays of brilliance - the challenge is to reproduce it on fabric.... I cant wait to get myself organised - ill take pre-orders of this one - so if you are interested, let me know - there will only be a short run. :) And yes I know I posted the same picture three times - but girls just want to have fun and shes so unusual she needs to be seen three times! I will be exhibiting with 3 other lovely gorgeous ones - Samadhi Hart, Fiona Dixon and Nicole Whitfield - our Exhibition is called ICON - how we each interpret this theme I think is really exciting..... my Love of Frida prevails and I see her as a powerful feminist icon - triumphant over adversity and uniquely her own woman! Im using the amazing and seemingly endlessly inspiring mythology of goddesses, saints and deities from all corners of the globe as my inspiration.....
