12.01.2022 This can’t come soon enough for regional and rural hospitals. Why does a patient at the hospital 20 minutes up the road qualify for an extra hour of nursing care per day? We see the same patients. They transfer between all hospitals in our district but yet our nurses work harder with less resources meaning a level of care below that of the metropolitan hospital.

This wage freeze truly is an insult against every frontline worker who has put their lives on the line during this pandemic. It's time the Premier scrapped this heartless policy.

Nurse Chris was involved in a motorcycle accident on the way to work, and had to have his leg amputated. Thankfully, he was an NSW Nurses and Midwives' Association member, and thanks to our Journey Accident Insurance, he was able to recoup $100,000 to assist with his recovery.
