19.01.2022 Well that was an interesting season like no other !! BUT at least we got to play some NETBALL in 2020!! 2020 would not have happened without our VOLUNTEER committee. It was their tireless hard work behind the scenes that made 2020 a reality. ... All of our committee contributed to making 2020 a success whether it be manning Covid 19 stations, organising action plans , securing grants, purchasing uniforms, supplying equipment, registering players or keeping our social media platforms running. We all played a part. In particular a special mention to our executive committee: Sian Hefron - Our hard working COVID 19 safety officer who I bet never envisaged that role at the start of the year. She is also our club treasurer - So she is responsible for both our clubs health ,safety & finances!!! ....No pressure Sian ! To top it off she coaches two teams Lynne Roberts - Our Secretary, who documents everything, every meeting , every report , handles all correspondence, maintains and updates bylaws and rules, pays bills , organises grants .....the list is endless ..without her extensive record keeping we would be lost & with Covid 19 her work doubled. Michelle Formosa - Our Vice President, a consummate support to our President Nicole in many many different ways , equally involved in planning, organising and also instrumental in securing a sponsorship for our great Club. President Nicole Scott - What doesn’t she do !!!.... is more the question! The endless questions , meetings , discussions , hard decisions to guide & lead our club through this crazy season . Her phone and emails never stop buzzing!! The effort it took to get us on to the court in these unprecedented times was extensive. Working with the real threat that any week the competition could be shut down to having now achieved a successful season is a testament to her hard work and leadership skills . She also was our umpire convenor and coached a team ... Phew All our committee members should be very proud of their efforts in 2020 -No role was small , everyone contributed, working together ,supporting one another , battling new challenges and ensuring things ran smoothly. Thank you 2020 Committee Ladies - Take a Bow If any parents would like to get involved in committee next year, please do , it is very rewarding and we welcome & love new helpers! We hope to see you all back in 2021 !!
