22.01.2022 What a lovely idea https://wollongong.nsw.gov.au/my-/get-involved/living-books

18.01.2022 Highly recommend this course

17.01.2022 Apologies however we have needed to cancel our meetups for the moment given that we are in the vulnerable age group. We will let you know when it’s safe to come back. In the meantime. If you need a cuppa one on one I’m happy to meet anyone! Just message me personally Cathy Wagner 0417635354

16.01.2022 As she sat and watched the ocean Roaring, wild and raw And heard the waves roll and crash Upon the harbour shore She listened to it tell her... Of its death and creature’s tales Of how they’d raped its waters Of most fish - except the whale The ocean spoke of all all they’d seen Like dolphins trapped in nets They’d thrashed about until they drowned So men could eat their flesh It spoke about the boats and those Who’d travelled from afar Only to be drowned as they were sunk Under the ocean stars. And then she heard the waves yell out Watch out don’t come too close You see we’re washing shells and sand From our floor - it’s gross! It’s cause we’ve dug up years of pain Of those who’ve died within The men and fish lay on the floor Their skeletons, eyes and skin. And as she watched and listened To the ocean’s long sad tale She thought about what happened To the sailors - catching whale She wondered whether their bones lay down Upon the ocean bed And whether they sang their sad songs Of death - or life instead. And so she sat and chatted For the time she lingered there Then decided to write about it And tell others to beware! You see the waves are magic As they wash upon the shore But if you do not care for it, You’ll be their dead upon their floor. See more

15.01.2022 Sadly due to covid and other difficulties we are unable to continue this group. If you are interested in supporting as a leader then please pm me and I will chat to you about what it entails.

14.01.2022 So unfortunately we still can’t meet up but it doesn’t mean we have forgotten you all. I’d you made a friend in our group then why not give them a call or if you need a chat call us! We’re always here for you. In the meantime. Let us know what you’ve been up to during isolation. Me? Learning how to paint. This is my hubby in front of our fire pit in the backyard after some gardening.

14.01.2022 Our coffee group volunteers have decided to call it a day so we are looking for anyone willing to volunteer to take this group forward into the future. It’s a lovely role for one or a couple of people willing to share time by meeting when they want to just once a month. The group is insured by the Over 60s meetup group and they are very supportive- otherwise you run the group as you wish to. For information about this please pm me or call Cathy on 0417635354
