24.01.2022 Grading & Miniroo (U9-U11) Development team trials Grading & miniroo development team trials will be held at Myimbarr Sports Fields as per the following table. Please arrive 30 mins early to sign in and warm up. On your grading day you must be registered (including payment) on Playfootball prior to you allocated grading day.

24.01.2022 One of the clubs coaches and father of 4 kids who all play for SJFC will be embarking on a 24hr run/walk/crawl challenge to raise money/awareness for Rios Legacy". Rios legacy was established in 2018 to provide much needed funding for palliative care and end of life services for young children and their families. 21.01.2022 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! Following an outstanding 2020 season: Football NSW Proctor Cup (Bathurst Cup) Champions... Football South Coast WYL League Champions (undefeated) Football South Coast WYL Grand Final Champions (undefeated) The Champion SJFC WYL team will be moving in to the FSC Women’s competition in 2021, to take on the best Women’s teams in the region. We are excited to announce that training/trials for the new SJFC Women’s team will be held at Myimbarr Sports Fields (Wattle Rd, Shellharbour) on the following dates: Monday 7th December starting at 6.30pm Monday 14th December starting at 6.30pm New players who are wanting to play with a very talented and dedicated group against the best Women’s teams in the region are encouraged to attend the training/trials. Games are on Sundays, and training is Wednesday evenings at Myimbarr fields, Shellharbour. Experience preferred but non essential.... 10.01.2022 Congratulations to Christina Kirchberg for being the 2020 Club Person. Christina tirelessly dedicated herself to the smooth running of game days each and every weekend, which included coordinating the fantastic team of volunteers on set up and bbq as well as organising and supporting our junior referees. She did this all with a smile and a sense of humour. Without passionate volunteers our players could not participate in the world’s best sport

08.01.2022 SJFC are on the look out for coaches for the U12-U18 teams and the U9-U11 development squad the 2021 season. We are after volunteers who can work well developing a team, comply to club policies and most of all enjoy what they do. All coaches must be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC). 06.01.2022 Thank you to all coaches and managers who dedicated time and energy to making the 2020 season a great one, your players and their families are certainly appreciative. Each year we call for nominations for both coaches and managers of the year to allow players and their families to acknowledge the work these special people have put in. The coach of year was awarded to (Tony Biswas - mini Roos)and (Peter Grujevski - graded). These 2 coaches upheld the strong SJFC value of devel...oping all players to be the best they can be while reinforcing sportsmanship, inclusivity and commitment to the game of football. The manager of the year was awarded to (Nicole Lewis - miniroos) and (Megan Taylor - graded). These two managers ensured teams were organised and well informed and also provided valuable communication between the club and teams. They also assisted in fostering an inclusive environment so all players and families felt part of the team. We are proud that our club has so many quality coaches and managers and acknowledge that while winning certainly is important what is far more important is the joy that each player feels when they are a part of the best game in the world

05.01.2022 Shout out to the some of the committee who gave up their Tuesday evening one more time to collect and organise the team kits ready for next season!!! Thank you to all teams who brought their team kits back tonight and thanks to committee members who helped out throughout season. Without all of these wonderful volunteers, this club wouldn’t be what it is today. And with that, it’s pretty much a wrap for the season that we thought wasn’t going to happen!!! ... 03.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our SJFC juniors Jynaya Dos Santos getting the opportunity to trial for the U17’s Matildas squad. It only seems like yesterday that she was running around and playing for SJFC. We the club wish her all the best in the up coming trials and we are so proud of you. ... Hope we all see you in the Australian Woman’s National Team. Dream big and you will succeed !!!! Proud is an understatement on what Mark and I are both feeling right now. Jynaya has been identified by the coach of the U17's Australian Womans National Team and has been invited to trial for the U17's Young Matildas squad. This is just the beginning Jynaya and it's so wonderful to see that the right people have identified you. Keep working hard & never give up, stay humble you really deserve this opportunity. No matter the outcome keep chasing your dreams we are behind you all the way. Thanks to all the coaches who have believed in our girls and mentored them from u6's, we couldn't be more greatful for sharing our girls soccer journey with us Well done!! Jynaya Dos Santos
