22.01.2022 Kindergarten Orientation We are currently planning how we will facilitate a Kindergarten Orientation for our young people starting with us in 2021. We are hoping to make it as special as we can and are looking at many ideas and options. If you know a family with a young person who will be joining us next year, please check they have started the enrolment process. We will be sending information via post, including invitations to Zoom events, and can only send them to those people who have provided their details to our office. You can tag them in this post, send them a text or give them a call. We want to make sure everyone is included. Regards, Chris Klein.

21.01.2022 The Shellharbour PS Environment Ministry and Stage Three students worked together today to establish the Stage One garden beds. They planted herbs, strawberries, beans, corn, carrots and a variety of garden greens. Stage One will now be able to water and look after their garden before enjoying a feast when the plants have grown.

20.01.2022 Our 2021 Kindergarten children had a lovely time on their first Orientation Day last week and were very excited walking around our school while participating in a Teddy Bear Hunt. We look forward to welcoming them back again today and tomorrow for another fun morning.

20.01.2022 Art Studio News To support the Year 6 fundraiser to purchase outdoor toys for children to play with at lunch, Stage One are excited to be selling their macaroni framed exaggeration portraits of the people they love. Everyone will take home their artwork regardless of whether they purchase it, but we hope you will think these gorgeous artworks are worth a donation to a good cause. Thanks so much for your support.

19.01.2022 KS had a wonderful time on their excursion to Kiama on Wednesday. They explored the rock pools, held sea urchins and learnt lots of interesting facts about marine animals.

15.01.2022 The artworks on display today in our ‘Exhibition and Art Sale’ amazed all viewers, who openly admired the creativity and artistic flair demonstrated by each piece. A massive thank you to Mrs Dyson for her initial creative input and months of hard work leading up to today’s display. Thank you also to Mrs O’Reilly for all her hard work and creativity. The truly inspirational artworks are a testament to how much the children have enjoyed their art lessons each week.

12.01.2022 Our Stage 3 debating teams competed for the first time this year against Windang Public School via Zoom. It was a wonderful experience for all students involved. Topics were we should ban all tests in primary schools and primary school teachers should set a research project as homework over the school holidays. Congratulations to both teams who argued their way to a victory! Mrs Testa.

04.01.2022 Art Studio News Having sculpted their snails last week, this week the students of K/1M painted a watercolour garden for their snail to live in.

04.01.2022 Exciting News! The current advice has just been received and is very exciting!!! We can plan for a Year 6 Farewell! Further advice will be forwarded to schools in Term 4, but it is great to know that we can celebrate with our students before they head off to high school. Primary schools can now consider planning for Year 6 formals or farewells. Further information detailing relevant restrictions will be provided as part of the Term 4 Guidelines for Schools at a later date.... We will of course keep you updated, and follow all health guidelines strictly.

For all information regarding our Book Fair, go to our schools website. Scroll down to our News category and click on Shellharbour Public School Book Fair. Everything you need to know can be found by opening up the notes attached. All books and prices can be seen, keep scrolling down as there are multiple pages. ... PLEASE NOTE There are a limited number of stationery items, hand pointers and posters available for purchase as well. Open the Stationery and Poster note to view photos of these items. These items are unable to be reordered, so once they are gone, they cannot be reordered. To maintain COVID safe procedures, these items will be sold on a stage basis. Students will need to bring in the correct money on their allocated day. Days are outlined below. Wednesday, 9 September - Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6) Thursday, 10 September - Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) Friday, 11 September - Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) Friday, 11 September - Early Stage 1 (Kinder) The library will be open for sales at lunch, recess and for half an hour after school on Wednesday, 9 September and Thursday, 10 September. This Friday, 11 September and the following Monday, 14 September will be the last opportunity for students to order or purchase items from the Book Fair.
