20.01.2022 The children are familiar with my dogs. On Friday I explained to them the fact of life that Buster was old and has to go to the vet. He may not be here when they return on Monday. I am so proud of Mia. When she first came to me she was terrified of dogs and the cat. She has overcome that to the point that Monday when she came into care she was a bit upset. I asked what is wrong. Mia mother replied that Mia wanted to get flowers for you and buster as she said Buster will not be here cause he died. I thanked Mia for her thoughts. Here she is comforting Bella. Children need to learn and understand death as it also teaches them how to deal with it and learn empathy for how others are feeling in times of loss. Sad for our family but Im really happy with this outcome for Mia. Xxx
