22.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE Dear families Please be assured that I would never put yours or your children’s health at risk. To minimise the risk of germs spreading I have implemented the following rules effective immediately:... 1.I urge children or parents with any cold or flu symptoms (not covid-19) not to come to class to minimise the spreading of any germs. 2. I ask that only 1 parent/guardian per swimming family attend the pool, and where possible have siblings that aren’t swimming not attend. I understand this may not be possible for everyone. 3.No food is to be eaten at the Centre at the present time. 4. Please was your hand as you enter the Centre. There is soap and hand sanitiser in the dispensers to wash children’s hands. 5.I also urge grandparents not attend the Centre and other clients that are in the high risk bracket for coronavirus complications 6. The DHHS and Swim Australia are closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak. In the event they or other Government Authority advise me to close then I will do so. I will then reopen when it’s is safe for patrons to return. I am a small solely run business that is not benefiting from any Government stimulus packages and call upon my loyal families to remain calm and continue to swim, if children are still attending school, church, care or such things and choose to stop swimming my business will be greatly impacted upon. In the event of any closure I will suspend lessons and start up again when advised. Lessons that have been paid for, which are missed during this period will be credited towards the children’s future return and commencement of swimming. I urge you to take advantage of the information contained in the TASMANIAN STATE GOVERNMENT HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES website. Thanks for your understanding during this time. Regards, Chelle

19.01.2022 Hello Swimmers and Parents, we hope everyone has had an amazing Christmas and New Years! We sure have! Please see below some important updates about our School Holiday Swim Program, Term 1 information, and 2019 class prices. INTENSE SWIM PROGRAM: We are offering a school holiday swimming program starting Monday 14th January, where children would swim every day for 5 days to fast track their swim skills, and have lots of fun! If you are interested in enrolling your child, plea...se message me (Chelle) through Facebook, or 0400105630, or email [email protected] TERM 1 CLASSES: Term 1 classes start back on Monday 4th February. Some spots are still available if you would like to enrol your child for weekly swim classes. PRICE INCREASE: After much consideration, we have decided to slightly increase the price of our swim classes. This is the first increase we have had in over 7 years and is largely due to increases in pool maintenance/equipment/electricity costs. I will text message all currently enrolled parents the new price rates in the coming weeks. Thank you for your understanding. We are looking forward to another great year of swimming! Chelle x

08.01.2022 Hi everyone. I hope all my lovely little swimmers and families are doing well. My pool is still operational and ready to go as soon as regulations allow me to re-open. I'm really looking forward to the day when my swimmers and their families can interact, laugh and enjoy their lessons again without any awkward rules.... I miss all my little swimmers and hope this delay doesn’t set them back too far in their confidence and development. I am hesitant to even guess a re-opening date at this stage. Till then please stay safe and enjoy all the positive interactions with each other. I look forward to seeing you all again on the other side of this crisis. Chelle xx

06.01.2022 COVID-19 Is it safe to go swimming? Can the virus be transmitted through the pool water? The Department of Health have advised that Coronavirus would be inactivated at the levels of chlorine used in swimming pools.... So yes, it is still safe to go swimming. Water and the chlorine within swimming pools will help kill the virus. Of more concern, is the interaction that the pool users have with each other beyond the swimming activity. I encourage parents to limit their own and their children’s interactions with others when in public spaces. I have removed all the toys for now to reduce germs. Please keep clam, don’t panic, wash your hands often, cover your coughs and sneezes and please don’t send your child swimming if they have a fever. The facility is cleaned thoroughly and disinfected every day. If I receive any other information in regards to Covid-19 I will keep you all informed. Thanks, Chelle

02.01.2022 TEMPORARY POOL CLOSURE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS EDIT: the pool is now closed, no classes tomorrow. It’s with a heavy heart I have to inform all my pool families that I have decided to temporarily close my pool.... Over the weekend I have had at least 20 families choose not to continue with swimming for the remainder of the term due to the Coronavirus. I was initially going to close when school finished for term 1, but after long deliberation and reflection of the week that has passed, watching my clients faces and listening to the silence in the centre, I have changed my mind for what I believe to be all the right reasons for my Centre, myself and lovely clients. I also make this decision knowing I take care of my 80 year old frail mother. My large extended family also rely on me to be well and able. I myself have respiratory issues and would be in the high risk bracket if I caught Coronavirus. I know many of my clients may question my decision to close. I am aware at this stage only the large swim centres have closed in Hobart. Trying to stay loyal and supportive and having the same stance as all the smaller swim schools has been conflicting but I believe I am making the right decision for my clients. I love all my little swimmers and want to protect them and their lovely families as much as possible. All paid unused classes will be carried forward once the centre re-opens. If you have any questions please call or msg me. Thank you for your understanding during this tough time. Stay safe and well. Sincerely, Chelle
