23.01.2022 Today we gave a presentation to high school students about Shelter SA, housing and homelessness. We surveyed students prior to the presentation and most thought that the majority of people experiencing homelessness are men, sleeping on the streets, in cars or in tents. The children were surprised about how many people experience homelessness and were shocked that the biggest group is children and young people. Here are the slides.

16.01.2022 The latest specialist homelessness services data is out and shows an overall rise in numbers 290k+ and an alarming increase in people experiencing mental health issues in South Australia. Only 19% of South Australians who required accommodation received it and more social housing is urgently needed.
