20.01.2022 Hi all! Sorry I havent updated earlier but believe it or not, we have been very busy. Since selling out we have been doing a little bit of catering, and as we get closer to Christmas we are doing a lot of catering. Our catering has a new business name: HILLS SPIT ROAST CATERING.... Were still working on the website but a facebook page should be up pretty soon. You can get in contact with me on my old mobile number 0408 232 515. The butchers have settled into their new, post-Sheltons lives: Colin is at Rouse Hill Town Centre, James at Oatlands. Lex is having a holiday until next year while Steve and Lance are enjoying retirement. Its been nice bumping into customers. Have had quite a few calls asking the same thing Whats my Christmas Order again?. I have the past Christmas Books for reference! Keep an eye out for more updates on our Catering. Matt

20.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all our 'old' Shelton's customers. 'Once a butcher, always a butcher.' Matthew outdid himself with the Christmas selection: Spit Roasted Beef, Lamb and Pork with crackling, Seasoned Chicken, Turkey Breast. Oh and Leg Ham of course.

20.01.2022 After 34 years as a butcher, and 30 years owning my own shop, the time has come for a change. So it's with a bit of sadness, but also some excitement for what's to come that I share with customers that I have sold Shelton's Meats. I have enjoyed my 17 years here at Shelton's and thank my original partner Steve Shelton for asking me to be a part of Shelton's. I hope I have continued the man who started it all, Ron Shelton's legacy - a legend of the industry and a true gentlema...n. I have always enjoyed the butchering trade, however it is long hours and means weekends away from my family. And as my youngest son's disablities present increasing challenges, I need to be available to support my family. Colin, James, Lex, Steve, Lance and I will be here till the weekend of September 16/17. The shop will then close for a short time while the new owner Andy does a small refit to suit his requirements. 15.01.2022 Congratulations to our butcher James and his beautiful bride Rachel. A wonderful celebration of their marriage was held at Peterson House in the Hunter Valley. As we drove up, the rain was torrential until about 10 minutes out of Pokolbin. And so their garden ceremony could go ahead. TBH we were very surprised that James turned up with a Wanderers game on in Sydney, but we didnt see him check his phone for score updates once. He couldnt keep his eyes off the gorgeous Rachel. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.

07.01.2022 Wow! What an honour. Incredibly humbled to receive such a prestigious award from the Castle Hill Lions Club. My little contributions seem small in comparison to the wonderful work of the Lions, however I gratefully accept the Melvin Jones Fellowship. Id like to thank Lions Club President Stephen Scotney for his kind words. And all the Lions members who turned up to make the presentation even more special. Special mention to Margot McGuirk for sneaking around and organising the surprise. I must admit when I saw so many Lions members walking in, I thought Id forgotten your Sausage Order! Finally to our Hills Shire Mayor, Yvonne Keane, thank you for giving up your family time to be present, your generous words and kind heart to be involved so happily. Matthew
