25.01.2022 SENIOR WINTER BADMINTON COMPETITION commences with practice / registration nights on the 3rd & 10th of March.7.30pm -9.30pm, First matches start on the 17th of March.

24.01.2022 Shepparton Sports Stadium closed to reduce COVID-19 impact The COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented event in recent history. As part of the national effort to ...slow the spread of COVID-19, the Federal Government has placed further restrictions on gatherings including placing a limit of no more than 100 people for indoor gatherings from the end of today. In adhering to this direction, Greater Shepparton City Council will close the Shepparton Sports Stadium until the end of April 2020. This will take effect from today; Thursday 19 March 2020 Evidence from around the world has shown that pre-emptive measures are extremely effective in containing the spread of the disease and currently there are no known cases of COVID-19 in the Greater Shepparton region. The closure of the Shepparton Sports Stadium includes all facilities, programs, services and future events.

24.01.2022 Due to closure of the Shepparton Sports Stadium there will be NO Sunday social badminton until further notice. I will reorganise social badminton when the stadium reopens.

23.01.2022 All SBA Badminton is PostponedDue to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic the SBA committee has made the decision to postpone both the Senior and Junior Badminton competitions until April 30, when we shall review the situation. Social Badminton is cancelled until further notice.

23.01.2022 Winter Comp RefundsWe hope all our members and players are safe, well and keeping fit for badminton later in the year. At this stage uncertainty still reigns, and we will need to wait for government guidance and then work with Council regarding the Stadium availability.

20.01.2022 Welcome back everyone to the first session. It’s a sluggish start after a few weeks off. It’s good to see a few new faces. So to improve your skills/ fitness an...d have fun. Social badminton is on next Tuesday (14/1/2020) from 7:30 - 9:30pm. I enjoyed the first session but for me the main thing is to check on my tummy, just to make sure that it s not getting too big. Hopefully, it will turn 6 rolls into 6 packs hahaha.... Everyone welcome. We have all different levels from beginners to masters. If you would like to learn, come and see me and I’ll show you the drills A-grade $8 includes shuttles ($4 for students and others using your own shuttles). 20.01.2022 WINTER COMP UPDATEAfter discussion, following many larger sports choosing to cancel until further notice, the committee has decided to push on with the season until advice from the authorities tells us otherwise.

19.01.2022 Badminton Victoria has issued a statement regarding the Coronavirus and guidelines to help keep players safe. The key points are: Do not attend if you are unwell. Do not attend if you have been in mainland China, Iran, Republic of Korea within the past 14 days.... Wash hands with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds and use alcohol based hand sanitiser regularly. Cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. We also advise you to avoid shaking hands. Further, the Australian Government has just issued advice that non-essential gatherings of 500 people or more be cancelled as of Monday. This won't affect our Winter Comp but this advice may change at any time. See you Tuesday night

13.01.2022 SBA UPDATE Hi everyone, we hope you are all safe and well. Following the Prime Minister’s and Premier’s announcements in the past few days, the SBA committee held its promised review. ... While there was no immediate joy, we are optimistic for a start to competition within the next couple of months. Due to the disruption we are looking at playing through into December to get a decent season. We will work with Council and the Stadium to ensure a speedy and safe return as soon as we’re permitted. We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone and having a bash. Shepparton Badminton Association
