02.01.2022 Hi All It was Show Us Ya Wheels time again with our Members heading to Numurkah for the Show N Shine & Swap meet on Sunday 1st December 2019 Thank you so much to everyone who attended this year Show Us Ya Wheels ... The Weather forecast for the day wasn’t looking good. But we ended up with 42 People in Attendance with 22 Cars What a great effort. I am so proud of all our Members who braved the freezing cold wet day. The Shows organisers themed this Year’s Show A Mad Max Theme. A tribute to the 40th Anniversary of the release of the Mad Max Film. They asked if anyone had any type of vehicle that represented the Mad Max theme to bring it along. We would like to thank SRAC Member. Peter Robinson who bought along his Mad Max 2 Car all the way from Melbourne. It was parked front & Centre out the front of the main marquee. for everyone to see. It got plenty of attention with thousands of Photos & Videos being taken of this cool machine. As the day went on the Weather wasn’t getting any better. A lot of people decided to take their Cars and leave early. leaving large blank spaces all over the Oval. Some of our Members also decided to go home early. But we didn’t blame anyone who decided to leave. Normally at Numurkah Show Us Ya Wheels, your trying to shelter from the heat not the Rain. It was around 11:30am, the Rain looked to have stopped for a while. So, we decided to start cooking the BBQ. There were still a lot of our Members walking around braving the weather. We were only half way through cooking when the Shy opened up again. Sending everyone scattering for shelter. We managed to pull the BBQ trailer under the canopy so we could keep cooking. I think we may need to invest in another canopy if this keeps happening, as it was a bit squeezy with everyone trying to keep out of the rain as well as keep the Sausages & Hamburgers dry. It was all good in the end. We all got feed, we kept out of the Rain. And then at the Presentation. Shepparton Region Auto Club was presented with a Trophy for Best Presented Club on the Day. So, thank you to everyone who made this happen. Also thank you to everyone who helped out. Setting up the canopy and packing everything up at the end of the day. We would also like to thank, the Show Us Ya Wheels organisers, and all their helpers, for all their hard work. It was a shame Mother Nature wasn’t a bit kinder. We will cross our Fingers for good weather for Next Years Event. Thanks again everyone who attended this Years Show Us Ya Wheels. Hope to see you all at our Club Christmas Party December 14th 2019
