25.01.2022 All areas of the venue re-open next Monday the 23rd. The phone lines are open NOW if you'd like to book a table for Digger's Bistro! Simply call 58204100 between noon and 5pm this Monday to Friday. We can't wait to see you again really soon!

24.01.2022 From this Monday, when visiting the club, it is mandatory to wear a face mask/covering. A face covering is a surgical mask, cloth mask or face shield. A scarf or bandana can be used if necessary. You are able to remove the face mask when eating and/or drinking but need to wear it again at all other times. ... It is also important to use hand sanitiser or wash your hands both before and after removing your mask to prevent the transfer of germs. To help, we have ample supply of hand sanitiser throughout the venue. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we abide by the ever-changing rules and regulations. The well-being or our patrons and staff is our number one priority and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

19.01.2022 On Remembrance Day, we are unfortunately unable to hold a local public service at the Cenotaph. If you would like to pay your respects and lay a wreath, please visit after 11am to do so. At 11am our Committee Members will lay pre-organised wreaths and conduct a Last Post Service. RSL Victoria will broadcast a service from Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance from 10.45am. 19.01.2022 At the Shepparton RSL we are passionate about helping local veterans and their families. To ensure we can continue to provide such assistance, we need some more volunteers on our Welfare team. It doesnt take up much of your time but helps out veterans and their families immensely. Whats involved?... Helping out at our major appeal campaigns (Anzac & Poppy Appeals). Working on new fundraising ideas with the team. Visiting veterans at our two local hospitals (sitting with them, having a chat etc) This is done on a roster basis. Attending our monthly Welfare meeting (10am on a Tuesday). Our next Welfare Meeting is Tuesday July 21 @ 10am in the Members Lounge. It would be great if you could come along and see how it all works. To register your interest or if you have any questions, please send a PM and well get back to you ASAP.

07.01.2022 MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS ABOUT RE-OPENING Along with Diggers Bistro, the Main Bar and Members Lounge will also be re-opening this coming Monday. This means you can catch up with a friend for a late morning coffee or pop in for an ale after work or over the weekend. The only catch is that you are unable to order at the bar instead it will be full table service. To coincide with the bar opening, TAB and Keno will be back online, AFL will be streamed live on the big screen and, of... course, theres all the other FoxSports action. And if youre after a snack, our Bar Menu will be available whenever the bistro is open. We will be opening the venue daily at 11am and will remain open until after dinner each evening (until 9pm Sunday to Thursday and 10pm Fridays and Saturdays). 04.01.2022 Mothers Day 1968 was the 12th of May and the moon was full. On that day in Vietnam, Australian troops began the fiercest and bloodiest battle that the Australians fought in that war, surpassing the Battle of Long Tan by far on most counts. There were 26 Diggers killed and 107 wounded in three weeks of fighting. The story of the BATTLE OF CORAL-BALMORAL was suppressed to conceal not just the high losses but also the incompetence of some senior officers as well as for domesti...c political reasons. In 2018 the units that fought in that battle were awarded the Australian Unit Citation for Gallantry. However many individual acts of extraordinary bravery remain to be acknowledged and recognised. These men upheld the traditions of the ANZAC Spirit established by previous generations. Across Australia at this time.. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

02.01.2022 NOT LONG NOW!!!!!! We will be re-opening on Monday 23rd November. Bookings for Digger’s Bistro will be available next week. To book a table please call 5820 4100 between noon and 5pm Monday through to Friday. ... We plan to operate from 10am to midnight 7 days a week with all areas re-opening. To keep in-line with government regulations, face masks will need to be worn when moving around the venue and there will be patron limits that we need to adhere to. The likes of Bingo, Members Cash Mania and weekly raffles won’t be able to take place initially, but we hope to have these popular events back up and running soon. The same applies for our Courtesy Bus service on a Friday and Saturday night. We cannot thank you enough for your patience and understanding throughout what has been a challenging year, and we look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces again on the 23rd.
