16.01.2022 MOVEMBER UPDATE - Great work by our President Jarrod Sutherland leading the way! A fantastic effort by all involved raising much needed funds. Click on below link for donations! Week 3 of the GVL's Mo Cup Premiership Challenge has seen some jostling at the top in both the individual and team ladders.... So far we have collectively raised a total of $9,495 for Movember Australia and there is still one week to go. In the indivdual tally Shepparton Swans Jarrod Sutherland continues to lead the pack with Mooroopna Football Netball Club Matt Deane in second place. Mooroopna Football Netball Club lead the club ladder over Benalla Saints in second place. There are lots of individuals and one club still to get on the tally board so it's still anyone's game! 16.01.2022 We would like to introduce our Senior Football Department coaches for 2021. Paul Hawke will take the Senior Coaches roll on again, continuing his great work that his put in over the last few years, and continuing to build a strong, professional side. Matthew Thomas will take on the role of Reserves Coach, Matty was set to lead our 3rds side this year and has brought a good bunch of his top age players up to mix with the boys already involved and is shaping up a great side. Robbie Auld will take on the role of Thirds Coach, Robbie was also set to take on the U16's this year and is again bringing those boys up to the next level with his wealth of knowledge and experience. Bill Dowling an ambassador for Terry’s Big Bearded Ball Drop Hi Everyone I have never sent an email of this nature before but this is a very special case!! I played football with Terry Greaves at Benalla in the late 1980s. Terry had a booming left foot, was extremely fit and was as hard as a cats head. He was a B&F winner and O&M league rep. Ten months ago in January 2020 Terry was given 6 weeks to live. Fortunately, Terry is now in remission, due in no small part, to the incredible work of the Albury/ Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. The AWRCC is a marvellous facility that treats 300 patients daily and 1500 new patients each year. It offers a great convenience to cancer patients all over the North East and Goulburn Murray areas of Victoria as well as the Southern and Western Riverina of NSW. Very often, instead of having to undergo treatment in Melbourne, patients can go to the AWRCC instead. Terry’s life expectancy is now 2-5 years and in typical Terry Greaves fashion, he is determined in that time to make a difference by raising funds for the AWRCC. ACTUALLY $200,000 in funds!!! This is where you may be able to help. A $20 donation gives you a ball in the $10,000 ball drop which will take place at the Benalla Showgrounds on Saturday 21st November. 05.01.2022 The Shepparton Swans would like to welcome Michael Cooke to the club. Michael is a big, strong key position forward coming to the club with a great football resume. Michael played at Calival Football Club in the Loddon Valley Football League last year where he came runner up in the clubs Best and Fairest, prior to that he played with Jessie Finnen at East Malvern in the strong Southern Football League where he claimed the clubs Best and Fairest award and 3 years ago he represented the West Gippsland Football League in interleague football. Michael is a great pick up for the club and we are excited to see him run out in the red and white. GO SWANNIE'S

04.01.2022 Great news for the Swans to hear Russell Eden has recommitted for 2021. Russ was a new signing to the club for this year but didn't get to pull on the red n white jumper due to the world being put on hold for a while. Russ is a great athlete who hasn't missed a training since arriving, his got plenty of pace, elusive with the ball and silky skills. He will be a pleasure to watch once that jumper goes on. It's tight at the top with Mooroopna Football Netball Club just ahead of Benalla Saints. Shepparton Swans President Jarrod Sutherland has extended his lead in the Individual competition. 03.01.2022 Darcy Collins, the boy from Oaklands NSW, has recommitted to the Swans for 2021. Darcy landed at the Swans last year through a family connection and took no time finding his feet and establishing himself in the senior side! At 21 years of age Darcy has a nice set of clean hands, a beautiful kick for goal and can play at either end of the ground. Darcy will be a great asset for the side. Go Swannies

02.01.2022 The Shepparton Swans would like to welcome Luke Moore and his partner Ash to the club. Luke is our latest recruit coming from Finley, NSW. Luke has had a decorated career up at Finely having played over 100 games, claiming the 2019 Senior Best and Fairest and representing the Murray Football League in interleague football in the same year. Luke is a 21yr old, medium sized on-baller/half forward. In great news for the club Luke's partner Ash will also be pulling on the red and white and playing netball for the club.
