24.01.2022 Jack Hale was on fire at High Velocity Meet #2. 100 yards in 9.43! This is the fastest electronically timed 100 yards for an Australian male anywhere. Previous best was in 1966 by Gary Eddy.

21.01.2022 Tessa Vaitohi Role at Shepparton Athletics Club Vice President and Sprints Coach Involvement in Athletics Started early whilst at Primary School and a successful junior athlete until 17 years old when immigrated to Australia. Played team sports once in Australia (field Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Softball including Basketball for Dandenong Ranges A reserve side. Came back into Athletics, when Chris and Antonio started Little Aths 9 years ago at Shepparton Little Athletics.... Favourite Event & Why? Love the 400m race. The most difficult of all the sprints. It uses all energy sources in the body. It is a very technical and tactical race. This is why most Primary Schools do not do the 400m. Most Memorable moment in athletics - I actually have three. They all came as a coach rather than an athlete. First is when our son Antonio went to his first Australian Junior Athletics Championships and I was his coach. We were both noices. Antonio a novice athlete and me a novice Coach. Watching Antonio win his first gold medal at nationals was an unfortgettable moment. The other was watching or other son Christian build a 40m lead in at the 2019 ALAC sprint medley relay. Also seeing a Shepparton Little Athlete (Jacob Dimitt) win 100m at the State Finals in 2018. Most Challenging moment in athletics This was as an athlete when I was 11 years old. I had fractured my wrist during high jump practise and having to compete in the event and finals with a cast and trying not to fall over on it. Placed 3rd in the event. Passion Love helping athletes to get the most out of their natural abilities.

04.01.2022 Profile of our President Doug Cobbledick. Doug Lives in Nathalia Married to Cheryl with 5 children who have all been or still are athletes. Doug started his love for athletics at nathalia little Athletics club, progressing through the various roles to include president. His fondest time at Nathalia was co ordinating the Motorskills development programme. Doug has been involved in many different projects over his years in Athletics. Of late the need to have more coaches in ...northern Victoria. Coaching Doug enjoys seeing athletes realise they can do better. Self improvement is what a coach aims for, so they can pass on more sound development to athletes. This season squad coaching is being introduced. And the hope in return, better relationships with athletes and their goals will create more improvement. Im looking forward to Friday Night, seeing everyone again and meeting new athletes who join our club. Getting the body moving again will be fun and hopefully no hamstrings this year See more
