25.01.2022 It's been a busy day with intense rallies at the Shepparton Lawn Tennis courts. The Victoria UTR Series, a brand new method of match play, saw dozens of players turn out to compete for the first time in months.

22.01.2022 GMLTA Season Update: The GMLTA held its AGM on Monday and Senior Tennis Competition is commencing November 7. The season will at this stage be 12 rounds and finals. Team entries must be submitted to the league no later than October 30th. If you still wish to register or know of a friend who might like to play our registration portal will remain open until October 23rd.... The Victoria UTR Series, a new and exciting opportunity for competitive match play is coming to Shepparton, beginning the first weekend of September school holidays. The Series will utilise the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR), a rating system that allows skill level based competition, i...s used by the professionals and encourages fair play. UTR rates every tennis player - regardless of age, gender, or nationality With Australian Ranking Tournaments on hold as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, players in regional areas are keen to return to the courts to compete. Players will go head to head in a round robin draw, using the UTR ‘Fast4’ scoring format where players will adhere to playing: First to 4 games Play lets No ad scoring Tiebreaker at 3 games all Each venue will strictly follow Victorian Government and Tennis Victoria Community Tennis Guidelines, where physical distancing, stringent hygiene and safety precautions will be in place. Entries for all events will be on a first in, first serve basis, and are available online through the Tennis Victoria Club Page on the UTR Website app.myutr.com/clubs/10703. 12.01.2022 Welcome to season 2020/21, we’re pleased to be in a position to offer the kids an opportunity to play some sport. By now you should have heard from your team manager about which team you’re in and training commencing tomorrow night. Could you please let us know at [email protected] if you haven’t been informed. At this time, we have courts allocated from 4.15pm to 5.15pm for C grade, D1 and Double Divisions and from 5.15pm to 6.15pm for A Grade and B Grade Divisions. ... For Team managers, score books can be collected at training , and Paul will provide a briefing at 4.45pm and 5.45pm to Team managers about the pertinent points of the upcoming season including any rule changes from the league, FAQ and the general philosophy of the Shepparton Lawn Junior Tennis. Covid Protocols. A list of the core measures we have in place are outlined below and will be in place for training and match play on Saturdays. - The Canteen will NOT be open at the commencement of the season. - All juniors to bring along their own drink bottle. - There will be just one access point to the courts which will be the main gate on Welsford St only - A QR code attendance record will be available to register your attendance on arrival at the venue along with a manual register for those who don’t have a phone on them. - Spectators are not permitted unless supervising children or assisting players with additional needs. - The clubrooms will be open for the use of toilets only. - Sanitiser will be placed around the venue and players are encouraged to use it frequently. - No shaking hands during competition, participants are encouraged to touch racquets instead. - A full list of Tennis Victoria Guidelines is available separately on Team App. Finally, could you please download the Team App if you haven’t already and Join Shepparton Lawn Junior Tennis.
