24.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Victorian bowlers, we can breathe easy again out on the greens The State Government’s recent announcement that the relaxation of masks app...lies to bowls is a welcome relief. All other changes from the Premier’s announcement yesterday are being discussed today with government and we will endeavour to release a updated Return to Play Guidelines for bowls later today. 24.01.2022 The club will be holding a Christmas break up on Saturday December 19. This will be a 6.30 for 7.00pm start. Members can come straight from Pennant to enjoy a relaxing social evening. 11.01.2022 The East Shepparton v Shepparton Park Division 2 pennant match, originally scheduled for Saturday January 9 will now be played under lights at East Shepparton on Friday January 8 at 6pm. Perfect opportunity for all pennant bowlers to come along and have a look. A reminder that all weekend pennant will resume on Saturday January 9. Midweek pennant to resume on Tuesday January 12. We ask all bowlers to get back into the swing of it and attend training wherever possible.... Happy new year. See more

04.01.2022 The Women's state pairs were played in very pleasant conditions on 2nd and 3rd December at Mooroopna Golf Bowls Club. At the end of day one the sectional winner...s were Chris Oliver/Di Chandler from Colbinnabbin, Marg Thorne/Sue Tyson S/P, Di Hands/Kate Bush S/P and Mary Greco/Mia Nowosad from Kyabram. The first knockout game was between Oliver and Thorne with the Shepp Park team proving too strong. The semi finals were Thorne v Hands and the lead up game must have been good for Marg and Sue as the continued their excellent form, winning 22/5. The other semi between Kyabram and East Shepp was a much tighter game with the score being level,17 all, with one end to play. Marilyn and Janis scored 2, giving East Shepp the win. Despite it being a marathon day for Marg and Sue they continued their great form, defeating Marilyn and Janis comfortably 24/6. Well done to all who made the finals and particularly to our winners who bowled extremely well throughout the two days. I bet they didn't need any rocking to get to sleep last night! A big thankyou ro Mooroopna Golf for hosting the event. The greens were great and your hospitality was amazing. The burger and pav before going home capped off a great 2 days. Thanks also to Rob Brent for acting as umpire for the event. See more
03.01.2022 The GV Women’s Over 60 Pairs was played at Tatura Bowls Club on Wed and Thurs 11th/12th November. Conditions were pleasant until a heavy shower dampened things... slightly towards the end of the first days play. After the Sectional play was completed, the four pairs left to play the semi finals were Mia Nowosad/Mary Greco ( Kyabram) versus Barb Rogerson/Jean Sprague (Rushworth) and Dot Best/Freda Clement (Tatura) versus Kate Bush/Di Hands (Shepparton Park). The winners of the semis were Barb and Jean and Kate and Di. The final was an excellent game of bowls, with the scores being never more than four shots difference. After the 15 ends Di and Kate ran out worthy winners 14/11. We wish the ladies good bowling in the regional playoffs in February. Many thanks to Tatura BC for the use of their greens and their hospitality, Sue Clement for umpiring on day one and Trevor Downie and Freda Clement for officiating for the finals.
