01.01.2022 Active COVID-19 cases in our community can make us nervous, so it’s important to understand what close contact means in how the virus is spread. Close contac...t means having face-to-face contact for more than 15 minutes with someone who has a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19) or sharing a closed space with them for more than two hours. Close contacts can live in the same household or can be sitting next to someone in a car or on public transport. But if a friend of a friend has COVID, you may be at even less risk than when you are in a crowded supermarket or shopping mall. Of course, if you have respiratory symptoms, you should stay home and make an appointment to be tested at your nearest testing site: https://www.murrayphn.org.au/covid19clinics/ For symptoms and more information on coronavirus, go to: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/how-stay-safe-and-well-covid-19 Even if your community is not in lockdown, we should all stay home when we can, stay home when we are sick, practice physical distancing and wash our hands regularly. Together we will get through this. See more
