20.01.2022 Are you now working from the safety but maybe not comfort of our own home? We want to help make sure your home office is going to support you and your body during this time of isolation. Here are the basics you need to know: ... Your chair should allow you to sit with your hips and knees at 90degrees or slightly greater, knees should never be higher than hips. Your feet need to rest flat on the floor. If they don’t use a footrest, box or even pile of books under you feet. Ankles also at 90 degrees. Your buttocks should be right to the back of your seat allowing your back to be supported by the back of the chair. Ideally working on a desk top computer to allow the top of the computer screen to be at eye level and keyboard at easy reach with wrists and lower forearms resting comfortably on the desk. If you only have access to a laptop consider an additional keyboard. Keep an eye on that sneaky mouse, it needs to be easily reached without outstretching your arm. Don’t forget to take short breaks to allow your postural muscles to rest (No not on the couch, take a quick walk around or better still outside) Now back to work. Don’t forget we are here, if the daily grind of isolation is taking a toll on your body book now to see one of our fantastic staff today.
