Those of you wanting to submit your application for the Artist Development Grants (which close Monday night) can do so via the link below: Any more questions or info on applying hit us up - most of it is detailed in Kiel's 'Open Letter' which was posted here last week.... 17.01.2022 Hi everyone, Tomorrow or the next day I'll do something I should have done a fair while ago and delete the SheppSounds social media pages. For those of you unaware, the initiative was formally dissolved after this year's instalment - the Artist Development Grants - were awarded in April. The bank accounts were closed, the ABN de-registered, and all products were removed from sale.... You can still stream the SheppSounds compilations from 2011 and 2012 in full on the SheppSounds SoundCloud page - www.soundcloud.com/sheppsounds - which will continue to be maintained. I thank everyone who threw their support behind the initiative over its three years of operation and wish all of the featured performers, participants and beneficiaries of the initiative all the best for their future careers. I also hope the Shepparton music scene continues to prosper and some new blood can carry on my work and provide some opportunities for young musicians in the town to kick-start their careers. And, finally, if any of you have a dream or an idea for something that you're passionate about, go chase it. It's exactly what I did in founding and running this initiative, and despite the many challenges faced and the thousands of voluntary hours of time and effort which had to be put in, the feeling of helping talented young people from a regional town, raising money for charities and pulling off a successful and profitable initiative such as this one has been so, so rewarding. All the best, Kiel Egging Founder and Project Director - SheppSounds 2011-13.
