21.01.2022 For the curious ones... Calendula giving birth from first sign of feet to final big push. No nitty gritty parts in case Facebook freaks out. Large baby and she is a first time mum so gets a little vocal. I didn’t need to help her, all I did was wipe baby’s nose as can be seen. The blood occurred when the umbilical snapped when she leapt up at the last big effort.

19.01.2022 Oh the charm of a tangled up birth at 2:30am Can I take tomorrow off to catch up on some With some effort I got the baby’s head turned and lined up with the feet. Poor Sesame handled it well. Now she needs infection prevention, a drink and a rest. Baby boy will need a bottle and into the house where it’s warm as he is small and will be to cold outside. I may not be entirely comprehensible tomorrow

04.01.2022 Sunbaking! If this image was posted randomly online with no context, most people would likely assume Vander was deceased. If a caption claiming so was attached, there would be a range of reactions from sad faces to hugs to anger and probably some less than pleasant commentary. The point is, sometimes what we think we see, is not actually what is happening. A frozen snapshot can easily be misconstrued, especially if it’s on a topic where the viewer has little knowledge or experience. And nowadays photoshop means we can trust online images even less haha. I’ve included a short video in comments to show Vander waking up from his nap. I happen to know he is an avid sun worshipper and often strikes dramatic poses so I don’t freak out anymore when I see him do this.
