24.01.2022 Lovely poppy quilt which awaited finishing for some years.

24.01.2022 Two more lovely scrappy quilts from a wonderful regular customer. She manages to unite in a clever way a wide variety of fabrics.

22.01.2022 Made for a darling new granddaughter by my friend Ros. I love the interwoven look.

21.01.2022 Meandering geraniums on a gorgeous tulip quilt.

20.01.2022 An unusual quilt made from striped shirt fabrics. Pattern is a modern one called Vortex and the thread used was iridescent orange. It looked fantastic and a young man will receive this as a gift.

20.01.2022 A couple more of Sylvia’s lovely charity quilts on the way. They are well travelled. Auspost did us proud getting them down to me safely and I will post them back to Sylvia next week.

19.01.2022 Thankyou so much to my recent customer Shirley who sent me these photos of her finished quilt. I so rarely get to see lovely photos of quilts completed. And she sent me a very kind message too.

18.01.2022 A beautiful quilt. A gift for a lady in her 90s. A popular pattern called Ginger Heart.

17.01.2022 Just look at THIS beauty. A gorgeous quilt made with very special ombré fabrics especially purchased in the US I believe. We searched high and low until we came up with the right quilting pattern, a new one called Basket Weave from one of my go to websites, My Creative Stitches.

17.01.2022 This new pattern called Cobblestones from My Creative Stitches, has added a modern feel to this lovely bright top called Meet the Makers. A very clever use of all plain fabrics. Another quilt top from my good friend and customer, Ros. I plan to use this pattern on some of the many charity quilts for Oz Child I am about to start on this freezing cold day.

17.01.2022 A couple more on the way for Oz Child next year. My friend Jen has been making good use of a pattern first used in our group by Sylvia. A great way to use a focus fabric.

16.01.2022 Getting ready for next year’s Oz Child donation. Practising with my embroidery machine too.

16.01.2022 I have been busier than usual. A number of new customers. I think it has been a time to get things finished. Hopefully I have made some folk happy.

15.01.2022 During this time of lockdown I have been quite busy. A number of new clients who wanted their quilts completed. I even had time to sew some tops myself for next year’s charity run to Oz Child. I hope these completed quilts bring much pleasure to their owners.

15.01.2022 Unusual colours with some animal prints amongst them so we chose a doggie quilt pattern.

15.01.2022 Lovely purple/blue quilt from my friend Ros.Photos don’t do it justice. Love the new quilting pattern too called Serendipity from My Creative Stitches, one of my favorite websites.

13.01.2022 Just some samples of next year’s Oz Child quilts I have been working on. I sometimes use the opportunity to try out some new patterns.

06.01.2022 My new toy. And my first label. Lots to learn but a great test for an old brain.

06.01.2022 Lots of quilting happening here in lockdown. I am lucky to have such lovely quilt tops to brighten these dark days.

06.01.2022 I know I haven’t put up many photos recently but I am still quilting. A number of regular and new customers have had time to finish quilt tops and I have been busy quilting them. I have had both Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a gorgeous very large baby blocks quilt top (on which a grandmother is then going to appliqué an outline of her granddaughter over the centre, plain block), a beautiful scrappy quilt which lay unquilted for 3 years which has many memory fabrics in it including many liberty ones and many others. I often feel very privileged to be allowed to quilt these gorgeous creations.

06.01.2022 An exquisite quilt made using Riley Blake fabrics from the Alice in Wonderland range. Pattern is Butterfly Swirls.

05.01.2022 Two more charity quilts on the way.

04.01.2022 Look at this gorgeous pattern called Allegretto. A beautiful sampler quilt deserved some elegant feathers I thought.

04.01.2022 A very happy Christmas quilt. A real Christmas in July one.

04.01.2022 Quilt made for a friend’s 70th birthday. We met at Melbourne University on the first day of our Agricultural Science degrees in 1968 and have remained friends ever since. She and her husband have a recognised aboriginal heritage site on their farm near Canberra.

03.01.2022 A lucky baby boy will receive this darling flannelette quilt. The pattern is another popular pattern, Double Bubble.

03.01.2022 A truly gorgeous quilt completed by a new (elderly) customer. All the appliqué is done with wool. I had to custom quilt it so I tried to enhance what she had with clouds and grass etc. She was SO grateful as she just wasn’t sure how to finish it. Made all the work worthwhile.

02.01.2022 My friend Ros has been at it again. This time we chose a pattern called Floreale and a deep green thread so we could see the lovely pattern on the white.

01.01.2022 Last quilt I am told by my friend Ros for this year. If you have been following this site you will already know she loves purple. Good luck Ros in the next few weeks.
