24.01.2022 S H O U L D E R P R E S S Without a trainer, it’s hard to see what’s happening with your muscles and if you’re doing the correct form in your exercises. You need to do exercises properly to make it worth your while, don’t be wasting your time! If you’re unsure and want to make sure everything’s going smoothly and you’re not going to hurt yourself, hit me up ... There are a variety of ways you can do the common shoulder press. I usually do the shoulder press standing as more cores muscles are engaged to maintain balance and control of the weight. 21.01.2022 Do you have tight hips causing you discomfort in the lower back, glute or hip region? Stretching activities are an important part of any exercise program. Not only improving flexibility and mobility, stretching also helps prevent injury and Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). Make sure you’re stretching after each workout so you can recover faster and can stick with your training program.... Here I’m working on my hip flexors. Most of us have tight hip flexors due to sitting all day and that awful sedentary lifestyle the majority of us seem to have these days. Make sure you stretch these out every day to reduce tightness and help prevent lower back pain. Ensure your tuck your butt under your hips and think of bringing your hip bones up towards your chin to do this stretch properly. See more

14.01.2022 I literally took only these three photos in about 10 seconds and the only difference is me rolling my tights down. Sometimes tights just don’t do it for you! It’s the same as sitting down, we all have rolls, nothing to be worried about. Just an FYI because there are so many photoshop style apps out there, the only thing I use is a colour and lighting change in my photos to match my inta page theme No distortions! I see a lot of pages sharing this important message which is great, but unfortunately still see a lot that are perfect and distorting our perception of reality. If you’re finding yourself more often than not wishing you looked or were like someone else, unfollow them and be your own motivation. Focus on YOUR improvements and changes and stop comparing yourself to these perfect people.

When you do them properly, focus and REALLY activate your core this is a fantastic exercise to tone and strengthen deep in your core. A strong core is vital for posture and to help prevent back pain and other injuries

07.01.2022 I’m stretching ALL the leg muscles with 3 spin classes this week after a couple weeks off sick! A common stretch that is missed is the Soleus muscle. We usually just stretch the Gastrocnemius muscle (first picture), but it’s also important to stretch the Soleus muscle (second picture) which lies just below the knee and deep to it. To stretch the Soleus, start off in the common calf stretch then bend and bring your knee towards your toe.... Stretching both your Gastrocnemius and Soleus can increase circulation to your lower extremity, decrease frequency of leg cramps, increase range of motion and prevent Achilles tendinitis, shin splints and plantar fasciitis. Make sure you’re only doing a static stretch at the END of your workout as this helps cool the muscles down. You’ll want to do dynamic stretches at the BEGINNING of your workout to help warm the muscles up and increase range of motion. See more
