24.01.2022 WesTrac has opened an autonomous technology training centre near Collie in Western Australia the second facility of its kind in the world. The training centre will focus on the technical skills required to operate autonomous equipment used in the resources sector. 24.01.2022 A standard service truck might typically pump around 380 litres of fuel a minute, taking 30 to 45 minutes to refuel a large mining vehicle. By contrast, a customised Shermac truck could maximise the delivery rate up to 800 to 1000 litres per minute and only take 15 to 20 minutes to do the same job, halving the downtime and lost productivity. 17.01.2022 Rio Tinto has shipped its 200 millionth tonne of iron ore from Cape Lambert in Western Australia to China as part of the Bao-HI Ranges joint venture with China Baowu Steel Group. The iron ore sold under the partnership was mined at the Eastern Range mine in the Pilbara. Along with this milestone, Rio Tinto ticked over its three billionth tonne of iron ore being shipped to China during September....
