02.01.2022 At this stage ... this is my understanding Just tonight the Prime Minister updated the Country regarding COVID-19. The PM has put the following restrictions in place that will have an impact on our role as a Celebrant. The Prime Minister has advised from midnight, Wednesday, 25 March 2020 the following limitations will apply :- ... Weddings - celebrant, the couple and 2 witnesses ONLY limiting the group to 5 people only AND each person must be within their own 4 sqm space. We believe this applies to INDOOR ceremonies and will clarify once an official media release has been published. Funerals - 10 people only allowed and observing the 4 sqm space. We hope the official media release will clarify if this includes the celebrant and other funeral staff. The restrictions are critical to reducing the risk of spreading the virus.
