25.01.2022 "Messy Church at Home" from yesterday on the theme of Our Care of God's Creation. Well worth checking out if you missed it. Great activities from Sue & Glen. Great fun too, as you can see!

25.01.2022 Pentecost 5 tomorrow and the theme of our service is Jesus saying "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." What a fabulous invitation.

11.01.2022 Pentecost 6 tomorrow and we are back in church. Whoohoo! We have services at St John's and St Matt's at 8am tomorrow. Good News, Bad News: there is still space at St Matt's but St John's is full! Our theme is Jesus telling the Parable of the Sower. Hope to see you tomorrow in person or on-line from 12 noon. Bless you.

11.01.2022 "If I had a magic wand which could both make everyone approve of what I'd done and do something, I would look for a church that is liberated but faithful. Liber...ated from the institutional constraints and the building constraints, not because they'd all gone, but somehow it was sorted. I think I would also want a church that would be attitudinal. It would be a church that was much more concerned about its welcome than its frontiers. And I think that would change so much." Archbishop Justin Welby, 1st Oct, 2020, Reimagine Evangelism and Discipleship Conference, Plenary 2: Evangelism and the First Mark of Mission

11.01.2022 The service for Pentecost 3 tomorrow is almost ready. It's about choices we make, influenced by Jesus. Check it out!

10.01.2022 ‘Children are not simply passive consumers of theology; they actively generate theological meaning for themselves. As they do, they take information and experiences from their contexts as raw material and tools for building theology.’ Csinos, Little Theologians (McGill Queens, 2020)

09.01.2022 Golly! Have we really been doing Messy Church in a bag 6!!!!! months?? Well, here's the proof - Six Cubes, each illustrating each month's theme. Below is our "Faith At Home" corner with all our cubes. Keep an eye open for October's Bag which is coming soon.

08.01.2022 Here is something to ponder upon this week.

07.01.2022 Click on the link, scroll down to find the short video by Terry Williams (Scripture Union Qld.). There are some interesting but somewhat disturbing numbers about young people leaving the church. There is also some good stuff about faith formation for the generations.

04.01.2022 Some thought provoking ideas about coping with change. Please read this little story.
