22.01.2022 On Sunday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Alison, the latest Beyond The Ultimate Transformation 6 week challenge winner. Thanks to Sarah Ann for hair and makeup & Styled By Elizabeth - Personal Stylist for clothing and footwear. 16.01.2022 What do you do when your whole world, as you know it, feels like it has been flipped upside down? I retreat and spend quality time with friends and family. I've needed to allow myself time to mourn, time to be available for my own children to ensure they are handling everything ok and time to reflect on what really matters.... For the last 2 weeks I've needed to hide from the world! It's been hard. I've ignored people, enquiries, opportunities and have had to postpone many events. All of this is insignificant in light of losing this amazing spirit, my 5 year old nephew. Jade and her siblings are very lucky as they were taken in by Pawprint Foundation Ltd and are now being temporarily fostered by me :D This sneak peek portrait of Jade shows her cheeky, inquisitive nature and her unusual, gorgeous, pale tabby colouring. 10.01.2022 International Women’s Day Friday 8th March 2019 The women in our lives underestimate how strong they are, how powerful they are and how utterly amazing their seemingly ordinary lives truly are! Every woman has a story. ... Every woman has a purpose. Every woman deserves love, self love, unconditional love. To all the women in my life, know that you are beautiful even with your scars and your battle wounds, for without them you wouldn’t be who you are today, without them you wouldn’t be where you are right now. It’s easy to say I’m not all that I want to be, I’m not perfect, I’m not where I think I should be know this: you are on a journey and you are exactly where you are supposed to be at this very moment. Some days are harder than others however you have a tribe of amazing, strong women surrounding you and every day is a blessing, an opportunity, a day to be grateful and a day to embrace life, love and joy. Reach out, ask for help, guidance, supportwe have your back <3 This is my wish for today and every day: be thankful, be proud, be YOU. 08.01.2022 APPA 2018 (Australian Professional Photography Awards) are done and dusted! I received a Silver Distinction (a score of 85) for this image with my other 3 images missing out on awards by just a few points 76, 77 & 78! 06.01.2022 Dear Mums I know you’ll understand. My TWEEN has gone. All it took was a few short months, a major growth spurt, a massive attitude change & I now have a teenager. It’s been a tumultuous time. We’ve relocated, experienced some family tragedies, made a massive lifestyle change and during all this, my tween transformed into this gorgeous young teenager with loads of attitude and a new sense of self.... And I’m so grateful I’ve documented this milestone. WE need these photographs. Not just for us, but for our girls! We NEED to record this time; this precious time before our ‘little girls’ are gone forever and in their place is a young woman. These photos are therapy for what I call the ‘TWEEN TRANSITION MOMENTS’. You ALL know these moments - The eye rolls, - The dramatic sighs, - The irrational outbursts over important issues likeshoes, - The times you annoy them with just a glance, - And of course, there’s the ‘cone of silence’. If you can relate then you NEED me NOW! TWEEN portraits are created specifically to reflect their individual personalities and document their story right now. 03.01.2022 SIX weeks since I've posted on Facebook, NINE weeks since I've posted on Instagram... what can I say? 2018 has thrown a few curve balls my way however I'm still creating portraits and trying really hard to get back on track ready to post on social media! In case you are wondering what I've been up to for the last 2 months I've photographed children (toddlers through to tweens), animals, corporate events, real estate agents, accountants, insurance brokers and a Bravery Awards Ceremony. Most of my work has been on the Gold Coast however I've also traveled to Brisbane, Ballina and Lismore. I'm about to release an offer for the upcoming school holidays so if you've been putting off having your child or family photographed, you won't want to miss my winter school holiday offer! 01.01.2022 Wowsers it’s November already!! Last month I started fostering kittens with an organisation called Pawprint Foundation Ltd. They rescue kittens and cats who have been abused, abandoned or are on death row and they place them in foster homes, just like mine, until we can find them a new forever home! The kids and I love helping these kittens find their new homes and the bonus is I get to photograph cute kittens whenever I want Here’s a picture of Luna, she is super snuggly and purrs really loudly Luna is looking for her new home now...
