21.01.2022 Well 2019 has certainly been full of new experiences and adventures! The year started working in our business, just like any other year except I distinctly remember most of it spent being hotter than a person could possibly be & with that, a big sweaty mess (literally pouring out of me). I remember this because it was the beginning of me needing to slow down as my body adjusted to growing a tiny human. That and for me it felt like summer dragged on until welllllll afte...r Easter time had come and gone. Fast forward to said tiny humans arrival which was dramatic & looooong with its fair share of pain, but oh so worth it. Becoming a mother is something I was not prepared for. I read allllll the things & did the classes but nothing can prepare you for this next adventure. I was especially not prepared for how much I could love this little person. How your relationships change & grow. How tired you could be. Oh how tired! (7 month sleep regression anyone ) How you strong you are. How worried you can be over everything & anything. And how much planning goes into leaving the house!! This year for me has been a readjustment. On a massive scale! New things to learn, milestones being achieved and the tiny person keeps growing at a rapid rate & looks less & less tiny as each day passes. They seriously grow so quickly! I am most proud of this year and I cannot wait to get into 2020 and start ticking off some more goals and continuing to watch the tiny person grow some more What are you most proud of this year? 14.01.2022 100% THIS #Repost @heidiloudesign with @make_repost Please. Bucket down over our beautiful country.
12.01.2022 I’ve been feeling lots of rainy days of late that have made getting stuck into work oh so difficult! Between being laid up with a slipped disc, an 8 month old refusing sleep & a week of daily migraines January has not been kind. But we have had some actual rain here & the plants & grass are greening up and looking healthy again. ... Sure it’s been frustrating to have so many things crop up that make life that little bit more difficult - and very painful! I’ve been popping nurofen like they’re m&ms just to get by I’ve had to really take stock and make sure I’ve been looking after myself and taking time to recover properly (easier said than done with an 8 month old!!) But I’m getting there. As a new mum learning to juggle everything and make sure I prioritise myself as well has been a huge learning curve. If these rainy days have taught me anything it’s that I can’t be everything to everyone & I need just as much looking after as the rest of my little family! I’ll be making sure I get to my girl gang @theselfcaresisterhood because no matter how rainy the days are I always feel better when I’m l moving my body & have a laugh with these beautiful humans! I’m always looking for new ways to get in some me time.... How do you prioritise your self care & what does that look like for you? See more
08.01.2022 I’m beyond belief and my heart is breaking watching the disastrous events unfolding across our country. I know I’m not the only one who shares these feelings. As I scroll through seeing image after image feeling crushed by what is happening, I am equally impressed by the response - donations, support & love shown by our friends overseas & here at home I’ve been grappling with posting about work at this time. It feels icky and not quite right while others are losin...g so much. I feel helpless sitting here watching the disaster continue to unfold but like others in small business, the bills still need to be paid. But it’s ok to keep working, to keep moving forward. It doesn’t mean we don’t care & certainly doesn’t mean we can’t still help in our own small way. Our little family has donated $$ and bought essential items to be delivered to communities in need. But I am profoundly aware of the privilege that comes with having access to $$ to be able to donate & purchase these items and that not everyone is able to. The very talented Britt at @lignestudio.co put this gorgeous image together. There is so much we can do that doesn’t involve money. We can all do what we can to pull through this together & that’s what matters the most. @lignestudio.co REPOST AUSTRALIA IS ON FIRE My heart is with everyone affected by these horrible but preventable fires. If you don’t have the means to donate, or have already donated, here are some FREE ways to keep supporting the bushfire Emergency . Thank you to all those who shared when I posted this to my stories last night keep sharing and keep fighting these fires See more
