25.01.2022 Winter you’ve been AWESOME, but Spring we’re ready for you...

24.01.2022 A few weeks ago we hosted a SUP trip to the Hunter Valley!! SUP? In the (very dry) Hunter Valley region full of wineries?? I hear you ask... Well, I can assure you it's an awesome (perhaps lesser-known) SUP location, aaaand every paddle adventure ends with a glass of wine. You can't get much better than that!!... Check out the video below to see what we got up to!!

23.01.2022 THINK BEFORE YOU PADDLE I have just been notified by an eyewitness that 5 paddleboarders were paddling under the harbour bridge this morning and paddled directly across the path of a Sydney Harbour Ferry, causing him to do an emergency turn. I have previously posted about this route before and it’s dangers, and I just want to emphasise it again.... The 6:22 ferry was running the same route it runs every day. Experienced licensed operators who regularly paddle on the harbour respect this and plan their route accordingly. These recreational paddlers obviously didn’t do their research and therefore got in his way. Sydney Harbour ferries have right of way over all vessels (including SUPs). If you want to paddle this route - go with an experienced operator. Actions like this will give paddleboarders a bad rep and could result in restrictions being put on our waterways. Don’t spoil it for others. If anyone knows who these paddlers are, please put me in touch so I can check in on them and check they’re ok. Vikki x

23.01.2022 Is a SUP catch-up the new going for a coffee? Being out in nature, paddling at a gentle pace, no other distractions, a paddle provides the most perfect environment for a good ol’ catch up with a friend! And I don’t know about you but I find that there’s something magical about the repetitive rhythm of paddling that just lets the words flow! ... I love seeing groups of friends connect and reconnect on our She SUPs paddles (especially considering it’s one of the safest ways to socialise in our new COVID world!) If travel was no issue, which friend(s) near or far would you invite for a SUP catch up? Tag them below! See you on the water! Vikki x

22.01.2022 UPDATE!!! The wind forecast has done a complete 180 on us and now looks too windy for Sunday's social, therefore we are bringing it forward to SATURDAY (same time, same place). If you were already registered, please check your emails for information on what to do if you can no longer attend. ... BUT I hope to see lots of you there as Saturday is now looking amazinggggg!!

21.01.2022 The reason I carry a small dry-bag when I SUP is that I believe in the good ol’ Scouting motto of ‘always be prepared’ As paddle boarders, we are choosing to exercise and explore out in the wild and therefore, much of our experience is outside of our control. The wind may pick up, our energy may start to lag, the sun could come out, we could find ourselves in difficult conditions and need to be rescued. ... However, to keep safe and minimise all of these risks we can be prepared! Check out the link below to find out what I carry when I SUP to ensure I'm prepared for all eventualities! https://www.shesups.com.au/blog/what-i-carry-when-i-sup

17.01.2022 Today's blog post is a letter to YOU - the women of She SUPs... When you join the She SUPs Community it asks the question 'Why are you joining She SUPs?' Many leave a response saying to meet new people, gain SUP tips, or paddle new places, but many of you have also shared messages explaining about juggling kids, marriages, divorces, break-ups, new jobs, old jobs, moving, being stuck, personal fitness goals etc.... I don't really get the opportunity to follow up with everyone to acknowledge their messages and thank them for sharing their story - so this blog post is my letter to you/them. Ladies, I'm so glad you've found us. https://www.shesups.com.au//paddling-our-way-through-whate

Well, tomorrow is She SUPs’ first birthday so I’ve taken the week off to reflect on our first year and plan for our second ... I’m spending the week in a van, road tripping up the northern NSW coast exploring new SUP spots and finding awesome little pop-up office locations so I can work on some new ideas for She SUPs! I’ll be sharing my road trip adventures from this week on Instagram (@shesups_) and on the She SUPs YouTube channel so make sure you subscribe to find out what I get up to and where I paddle! Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this first year - whether you’ve paddled with us or supported from afar. I’m so incredibly grateful. Stay tuned for more updates soon! Vikki x
