25.01.2022 This week on the She Will Shine podcast Danielle chats to She Will Shine Member Rosie Shilo. Rosie has created and leads a community to support Virtual Assistants called Virtually Yours. She was working in the disability sector when a conversation with her dad planted the seed to help small businesses and save them hiring staff. This started her journey in supporting small business, working with her husband, and now focusing solely on supporting other Virtual Assistants throu...gh her network. A huge advocate for community, Rosie shares how she has always been focused on helping others, the challenges she has faced, and what she is most proud of after 16 years in business. 25.01.2022 Not only does the #SWSCollab love shine bright within our community, it extends far and wide. From sunny Brisbane down to Victorias Dandenong Ranges in fact. When our SWS Queensland Ambassador and Member, Sal Blanshards (Sal Blanshard - Speaker, Connector, Coach) client was looking for someone to help with a Speaker Kit, Shiner Cath Connell (Wholehearted Success with Cath Connell) answered the call. Sals client is super happy. And the Shiner Ladies? Well these amazing ...women can add another awesome #SWSCollab to the ever-growing list. Love your work Shiners!

25.01.2022 Our members have been talking about it today in our private Shiner group. Every woman I know struggles with it. Its damn hard to set. Its too easily broken. It starts with B. Any takers? Yep, its the old chestnut that is BOUNDARIES.... How do you go with it? Are you a strict No-can-do kinda gal? Or do you have trouble getting No-way-Jose out when someone asks you to do something that youd rather not? Or perhaps youre a 9 to 3 kinda lass? Work when the kids are at school, mum when theyre home. But then home learning threw a spanner in the works, and now youre living on coffee and a prayer that the inbox will somehow disappear during the graveyard shift. Lets be honest, its a constant struggle for us all. And just when you *think* youve nailed it something/someone/a-pandemic bites you in the butt and reminds you that you are in fact human (and not superwoman!). Im exhausted/frustrated/rocking-in-the-foetal-position just thinking about it. Which is why, in my humble opinion, sometimes youve just gotta get the Shiners together and talk that shi* out. And next week were doing just that. This coming Monday the SWS crew are zooming into our Monthly Meetup with the topic: Setting boundaries for success. How do you do it? Yes, this is a Member exclusive event, but its not too late to become a Shiner and join us (shewillshine.com.au). Get ready for a no holds barred conversation on the reality of being a woman AND a business owner, and the non-stop juggle that brings with it. No smoke and mirrors glamorising the hustle here. Honest. Raw. Real. Its the Shiner way.

23.01.2022 In this episode of the She Will Shine podcast Danielle sits down with She Will Shine Member Nicola Dore. Nicola is the Founder and Digital Marketing Specialist at Arcane Agency. Growing up in Gippsland, Nicola started her career in the operational side of Events and over the years transitioned into Marketing roles. Career progression brought with it travel across the country, before settling with her family in Geelong. While her employed role was flexible to a degree, upon h...aving her first child she found that the required travel wouldnt work for her. It was the push she needed to follow her desire to work for herself and start her own business. Nicola shares her journey from creating her business around a young family, to gaining confidence and growing with a strong working team around her. 23.01.2022 The perfect lockdown therapy. I so enjoyed listening to this podcast during my workday today. Listening to real women in business tell their stories had me feeling connected and joyful, despite our current times. I love how Danielle manages to dig a little deeper into these stories and really shine a light on these womens varied journeys. Very refreshing amongst a sea of PR polished interviews.... It really is true. When you leave amazing feedback like this on our She Will Shine Podcast, this small business owner does a happy dance AND literally grins from ear to ear. Heres the proof . 21.01.2022 While a lot of us cannot wait to see the back of 2020, it’s also been a year of some pretty amazing achievements. Which is why this coming Monday the SWS community is taking some time to reflect on the year that was and look towards the future. In Monday’s Masterclass: FROM 2020 TO 2021. She learnt and implemented the systems, processes and principles that helped big businesses achieve their goals. For the past 5 years, she has been helping small business owners to do the same. And did I mention she is also a She Will Shine member? This insightful lady works with clients across all industries and believes small steps lead to huge change, therefore her methods for achieving sustainable growth are simple, actionable and designed for long-term success. On the day Katarina will lead us through exercises to reflect on the achievements of the past 12 months, and get us thinking bigger for our goals in 2021. I don’t know about you but I am definitely ready to move forward and plan for a bigger year ahead. Shiners, you can find all the Masterclass details in our Member Hub or Facebook group. Not a Shiner? 19.01.2022 "If Im saying yes to you, what am I saying no to for myself?" This quote was shared in todays Member Meetup and is one that will stay with me (thanks Amela at Four Twelve Accountants). Setting boundaries has never been more important for women than in todays world.... We simply cant do everything. Our wellbeing needs to be put front and centre. YOU deserve to be a priority. A huge thank you to our She Will Shine Members who joined us today to discuss just that, and especially our very own wellbeing warrior Rhiannon Colarossi from The Wellbeing Web with Rhiannon Colarossi who shared insights on what we can do to set boundaries that work for us. 16.01.2022 *Hello Brisbane* Yes, our Shiners up north caught up today and as promised heres a sneak peek. But the Kodak moment wasnt the only thing that made my day... She Will Shine Member, Hayley Robertson from My Client Strategy - Marketing and Business Coaching was there and also shared this:... When I started my small business, I went from working in a corporate company that had nearly 40,000 employees globally, to working on my own. It was a BIG change, and one that I struggled with a little early on. However, it didn't take me long to realise that I would need to build a support network around me to help me to keep going, especially on those tough days working alone. So, I decided to join the She Will Shine network for women who run their own small business. And, it was one of the best business decisions I've made! The networking and support from others who know where you're at has been amazing. And it's definitely been a big reason why my business has grown. A few months ago I left Melbourne and moved to Brisbane, but I've stayed part of the network and am now fortunate to connect with some lovely women in business who are shining up here too! This is a photo taken this morning at my first Brisbane She Will Shine coffee catch up. I had a great morning networking with Brand & IP Protection Strategist, Kate Ritchie from Ethikate // Brand & IP Protection Strategies and Director of We Virtual business support, Lauren Wheeley. It wasn't planned with this thought in mind, but I don't feel like it was a coincidence that we had our first catch up on R U OK Day! Now, if you're struggling with working on your own like I was, please connect and reach out to a networking group like She Will Shine today. There is an amazing amount of support out there for women who run small businesses and I promise you that you won't regret reaching out!

16.01.2022 Did you know tomorrow is R U OK Day? R U OK? inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling with life. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener. She Will Shine Member AND this week's podcast guest, Megan Mander is fundraising for this very worthy cause by running a 70km Ultra Marathon. If you'd like to join us in supporting Megan and R U ...OK head to https://ruokchallengeevent.everydayhero.com//the-journey-i PS: Stay tuned for Megan's episode to be released tomorrow.

16.01.2022 JobKeeper. Tax. EOFY. 3 little words that are too often accompanied by Headaches. Stress. Anxiety.... But She Will Shine Member Hayley Robertson of My Client Strategy - Marketing and Business Coaching is on top of it, thanks to the help she received from fellow Shiner (and Accounting guru) Amela Kmetas of Four Twelve Accountants. A big thank you to Amela for answering all my JobKeeper questions and for maximising my tax return this year! It's been very appreciated and provided fantastic peace of mind to know my finances are sorted. Thank you! Tax sorted. Happy Shiners. #SWSCOLLAB. Thats what happens when you have a trusted network of professionals at your fingertips. Are you like Hayley and need an Accountant who you can ask ALL of the questions? Or are you after a Copywriter who gets your style and tone of voice? Join She Will Shine and grow your network with professional women across all industries. Create relationships with an Australia-wide community of experts who personally know and understand you AND your business. Happy days .

15.01.2022 Call it what you will but *see second pic* and you will see what *really* happens when the Shiners get together. Effortless conversation. True connection. Friendship.... Loads of laughter. And tomorrow our Brisbane Shiners are going to show us how its done in person. Yep, us Melbourne-ites are super jelly (jealous for the uninitiated... aka yours truly!) with the whole IRL thing BUT Ive been promised a mandatory selfie so that will at least put a smile on my selfie-loving dial. But the Shiner fun doesnt stop there. Oh no, we also have our Monthly Meetup coming up online this coming Monday. And this month were focused on getting yall talking one-on-one with rotating breakout groups, effortless conversation, true connection, friendship, loads of... you get where Im going with this. Its not too late to join in the Shiner Only action! Head to shewillshine.com.au and become a She Will Shine Member now.

15.01.2022 The next lockdown episode of the She Will Shine podcast is *almost* ready to hit the airwaves tomorrow morning. I sit down and have a chat with Digital Marketing Specialist and all round lovely lady, Nicola Dore of Arcane Agency. From growing up in regional Victoria to moving interstate, Nicolas story takes us across the country as she gains the experience and confidence to build her own business.... Head to Apple Podcasts or Spotify to subscribe to She Will Shine because you dont want to miss this episode.

14.01.2022 It may (or may not) surprise you but from day dot She Will Shine has never been about me. Everything we do is about the connection between the women in our community. In fact, its a pet peeve when I see a community created with an ulterior motive... but thats a whole other story. Even as the leader (a title Im not completely comfortable with) of She Will Shine, Im not one who likes the spotlight. Youll find more pics of my Shiners in this feed. Youll hear more of the...ir voices and stories in my podcast. What I love most is stepping back into the shadows and watching what Ive created and nurtured. Genuine connections forming between members. Women truly shining from the inside out, as they discover that all they need to do to belong in our community is to be themselves. Members celebrating each others wins as if they were their own. And in our podcast, asking the questions and then sitting back and listening intently to the answers. I wholeheartedly believe that leading by action and example speaks louder than any voice could. So if you spot me at a non-SWS event (when were allowed), or perhaps want to connect online, please say hi because this little (yes I am vertically challenged) introvert loves a good natter... but can sometimes be a little too shy to make the first move.

05.01.2022 The power is always in your response.

05.01.2022 While flicking through Instagram over breakfast this morning, I came across this quote from (my personal she-crush) @reesewitherspoon. Bring women to the front of their own stories. And make them the heroes of their own stories. And it reminded me of how reluctant women are in sharing their stories. Yes, there are definitely those who constantly have the LOUD voice over socials convincing us of how huge and important their story and personalities are. ... But its those who shy away from the spotlight and would much rather the focus be on something else... or someone else. Those who deflect compliments because surely someone else deserves the praise. Those who use words like lucky not realising (or perhaps not accepting) its their own talents, hard work and determination that has brought good things to fruition. It may be tall poppy syndrome. It may be years of serving others and not feeling worthy. But whatever it is, it has shaped them to be who they are today. These women are the female heroes whose stories need to be shared. Because they live in each one of us. And its only when we discover these heroes stories that were able to accept the importance of our own.

04.01.2022 This photo was taken in 2019... yes we were that close and without a ... when the beautiful Rhiannon Colarossi from The Wellbeing Web with Rhiannon Colarossi visited the SWS she-shed to share her story for our podcast. Rhiannon and I went to the same high school but were a couple of years apart, and it wasnt until a networking event many years later, that we actually met. And gosh am I glad we did! This wholehearted lady has helped so many women with her practical, wellbei...ng tools and her first book Everyday Wellbeing for Mums now resides permanently on my bedside table. Tomorrow we will be revisiting Rhiannons episode and I know it will inspire you to be kinder to yourself... perhaps it will be the reminder you need to just take a moment to stop and breathe. Stay tuned.

I worked with Fiona, we talked about so much but I was able to start pumping out ideas for my business including a business strategy and my information packs for clients. It was such a refreshing session, but the feedback I received gave me confidence to put ideas out there and start the ball rolling. And thats how we do business at She Will Shine . Not a member?
