22.01.2022 B E R B E R way. There is a gentle beauty of colour reflected from the surrounding landscape into the architecture and interior of @berberlodge. Owner,Romain Michel Meniere, a french-swiss interior designer created this dream holiday (e-)scape to tribute the Berber way of life and architecture prominent in arabic-style medinas called Arabic Andalous. Most berbers were located in the north of Africa so traditional berber architecture is made with earth, but as you get closer... to the Atlas Mountains many buildings are made with stone or a mix of earth and stone. This beauty of functionality with simplicity of Berber architecture has inspired some of the most famous, modern architects including Luis Barragan and Le Corbusier.
