25.01.2022 We have three menu items in the soup section and our miso soup is the best selling soup dish. Shige makes his own dashi (stock) from scratch so our miso soup cannot be compared to anywhere else! The beauty about our soup is that it won't taste exactly the same every week because Shige will only use the best fish he can get for the stock. Miso soup has many health benefits including lowering cholesterol, improving skin (anti-aging) and strengthening your immune system. Shige says he's able to work without a single sick day for the past 40+ years because he drinks miso soup everyday for breakfast. Did you know? Miso soup is consumed with chopsticks only. We don't use a spoon . Have a go without a spoon next time .

Local fish are excellent right now since they had the winter time (colder waters) to fatten up (sounds like me ). Did you know? Tuna is the most popular fish in Japan . It is everyone's favourite.

09.01.2022 Throw back to 2018 when Shige was over the moon when he saw Australian Icon Dr Harry walk in! Shige and family watches Dr Harry every Friday night on 'Better Homes and Gardens' ever since...forever, so seeing him in person was definitely a delightful surprise. By far one of the kindest, down-to-earth and most humble person dined in at the restaurant. Shige and (especially) wife are camera shy but they couldn't contain their excitement so asked for a photo with Dr Harry and he was happy to take one. It's a bit blurry but definitely a photo to treasure . We love what you do and hope you are keeping safe and healthy Dr Harry!
