24.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend at the UK Black Belt Camp. Should be a great couple of days of training and learning!

16.01.2022 Just finished a fantastic weekend in Adelaide at the South Australian Black Belt Camp. Over 70 people attended the 2 day event and it was motivating for me as an instructor to teach such a positive and energetic group of Senseis and students. Thank you to all for your hospitality and for your commitment right throughout the weekend. Thank you also to our caterers who fed us all and did a terrific job, as well as those who helped transport the mats to and from the venue. ... See you again soon!

11.01.2022 Just wanted to relay a big thank you to the organisers and attendees of our recent W.A. Black Belt Camp. It was a fantastic weekend of training and socialising, and the location of the venue was amazing (albeit slight breezy). A special well done to you all for making it through our pretty physical Sunday session. There’s some great talent in W.A. and I always enjoy catching up with some of the old faces, and meeting some of our newer members of the instructor team.... Hope to see some of you on the Gold Coast in November!

09.01.2022 A New Year’s message from Kancho Robert Sullivan..

09.01.2022 Announcement New Club Badge Coming Soon! We are excited to announce that GKR Karate will be unveiling a brand new club badge in just over a weeks’ time at the... 2019 World Cup in the UK. This will be the first time in the club’s 35 year history that the badge has been updated and it’s fitting that Kancho Robert Sullivan will be present at the World Cup for its official release. Whilst we will always consider our foundational karate badge to be a very special part of the club’s history, we are confident that you will be pleased with the new design. Look out for its official online reveal at around 9am (UK time) on Saturday morning 29th June.

07.01.2022 Just about to fly home now from a fantastic week in the UK. The World Cup was a huge success and I’d like to that all of the organisers, officials, competitors and spectators for making last weekend as great as it was. I’d particularly like to acknowledge just how amazing the local crowd support was for competitors from all countries. In the end, we are all one club and this attitude was reflected so strongly at the event by both competitors and spectators. All in all, GKR ...Karate UK put on an amazing event and I was proud to be a part of it. Thank you also to those who have expressed their positive thoughts about our new club badge, which was launched at the World Cup Opening Ceremony.

06.01.2022 I’d like to wish all of our GKR Karate students, instructors, and their families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Enjoy every minute of whatever time you have off over this period and I hope you’re able to spend it with the people most important to you. See you all in 2020!

04.01.2022 A huge thank you to all of our champion students and instructors in NSW who attended our annual Black Belt camp in Sydney over the weekend. With well over 100 people on the mats each day, the atmosphere was fantastic and the training ethic from everyone there was outstanding. Thank you to Kancho and also to Shihan Anthony for some awesome content during the classes, and to Sensei Peter and his crew for supplying lunch each day. The Saturday evening quiz night and dinner was... also a buzz and thank you for those who came along. I hope you had a great time! I’m sure I’ll see some of you on the Gold Coast in a few weeks’ time, but otherwise thanks again for a great weekend and I’ll see you early next year!

03.01.2022 A very big (and belated) thank you to all those who attended the New Zealand Black Belt camp at Camp Adair last weekend in Auckland. You guys were a treat to teach and I was impressed as usual with the standard of karate and your enthusiasm for hard training. I hope you all enjoyed the content we covered in the dojo and are looking forward to the things that we discussed on Saturday evening regarding some of our future karate projects. A big shout-out to the caterers for a ...job well done and thank you to all for your participation in our social night. See you all again soon! See more

02.01.2022 What a huge couple of days we’ve just had over here at the UK Black Belt camp. Over 170 people attended and trained their backsides off for 12 hours over the 2 days. The atmosphere in the dojo was amazing and I was thoroughly impressed by the enthusiasm and work ethic of everyone there. Thank you for being incredible students and for making the task of teaching so enjoyable. You all kicked butt well done.... The Saturday night function was also a hit once again next year I promise to bring an outfit :-) See you all again soon!

02.01.2022 Attention to all Australian students and instructors: I’d like to update you all on a recent decision we’ve made about our tournament schedule for the remainder of 2020. Given the ongoing health concerns and the likely hesitation many people may have to travel as a result of the Coronavirus situation, we have decided not to hold a GKR Karate Australian Titles in 2020. ... As you know, it has been a tradition of GKR’s for the last 20+ years to hold a National tournament at the end of each year, but the probable lack of interstate entries would have greatly diminished its ‘national’ status. What we will do instead is push our State Titles back to November (instead of September) and these will become the major end-of-year event on the GKR competition calendar in 2020. This will give all regions the chance to hold some local tournaments in September/October in the lead up to the November State Champs. Your Regional Instructor will keep you updated regarding this in the coming weeks. Thank you for your understanding.

01.01.2022 Excited to be here at the 2019 GKR World Cup where we unveiled the new club badge. Best of luck to all competitors. Have a great weekend!
