01.05.2022 I feel a new profile picture is coming. Pebble Raider ran an unbelievable race today winning at Tatura. The little girl is still learning to find the line, but was not going to let the field get away today. Congratulations to her owners.

25.04.2022 Peculatus is still one of the family at Shillito racing. He looks after young horses while spelling, but obviously is not up for running a muck!

11.04.2022 After Discreet Legend won the Everest, Les Bridge said the horse has a huge girth. Evolving Evie’s girth hardly reaches the flap, but she broke the elastic breathing in last week! Might be hope for fatso yet!

25.01.2022 Were thrilled to confirm well be racing on a new synthetic racetrack in 2019 after the announcement from Racing Victoria this morning. This will provide a huge boost for racing and the local community!

24.01.2022 The Big LaBrownski is having the best of his preparations so far. He has started twice over 1200m finishing first at Warracknabeal and then second at Murtoa. Great to see the owners at the races and getting in the winning photo.

24.01.2022 Its been a rough couple of weeks at Shillito racing! Our mares are not getting in foal. Races have not gone to plan including our Outlaw Dot pulling up sore after a bump in her race. We then drive all the way to wadonga for a 6th place. Then the engine light coming on one the way home. But a lovely man pulled over with his horse truck and offered assistance and waited while racv(who were very helpful) sorted us out. He was the great Don Scott a football legend, so I found out later. It made my week someone would be so lovely and humble in his fame. Even to the point he gave me his phone number if we needed help down the road. What a true legend. The car reset itself and drove home without a glitch! Things can only get better from here.

21.01.2022 Peculatus is still a very naughty boy at 8. Apologies to John Keating for his bad behaviour at the start of the race. The bugger ran in well to finish 4th. He lives to have us on the edge of our seats.

21.01.2022 Treasure of Egypt/Styker filly born at 12.10am this morning. Shes a big girl and I cant wait to see her unfold. With the cutest little snip.

20.01.2022 I love the team at the moment. In the last 4 runners The Big Labrownski 3rd, Peculatus 3rd at Wangaratta, first starter Mula 8th only beaten 3lengths at a metro meeting and today Franquin 2nd at Geelong. Very Proud of how they are all giving their best.

19.01.2022 Shillito Racings first Grey made trials today at Burrembeet. Mula finished her trial greenly but showed good pace. The Dash for cash filly will soon make the races.

18.01.2022 Chantilly Milly jumped well in the small field at Colac yesterday, sitting one back on the rail. She travelled well and hit the line well to feel use second. Good old girl is still trying. Congrats to her conections!

16.01.2022 What a great run by Doubtless Road at Echuca today. It was a brilliant ride by Anthony Boyd over 1400 meters as he rode the big leggy boy to 3rd place. This horse is on for a great prep.

14.01.2022 Derby day took Shillito racing to Wychyproof today with 2 horses which were placed with a question on their ability. Perfect Calm ran 3rd in her 1400m maiden, (she tried her best) and Creative Miss 4 of 4. Needless to say they are looking for a new career and I was right in placing them here. Onto the 2yo stock looking for a Winks but happy for a Rocking Force!

13.01.2022 Our day out on Cox Plate day took us and Doubtless Road to St Arnaurd. The gentle giant finished 2nd in his 2000m race after leading the field until he was pipped at the post. Great try Flipper next time.

11.01.2022 3 unraced youngsters waiting to trial. All went well so their first start wont be far away.

11.01.2022 I want to go buy another yearling because I love going to sales. But I already have to nice types ready to break in. I had better stay home and buy rugs online for winter instead!

10.01.2022 Great Western! Well we think it is a great track after Franquin dominated his 1950 race. Our tough horse lead the field by 5 lengths and won the race by that margin. It was a fantastic race to watch and his owners are overjoyed with his 2nd career win. He was well ridden my Samuel Payne who drove from Caulfield to ride him. Our first starter Runnaway Girl also finished her race of strong after jumping slow to finish 3rd. She will learn a lot from this run and will be one to watch in the future.

09.01.2022 Its been a long Doubtless Road for Flipper as he picked up his Maiden win at Kyneton yesterday. This horse is still finding himself and will improve off this win. Its not surprising it has taken 4 years to control his huge length of stride. Thanks Jarrod Fry and well done gentle giant!!!

08.01.2022 Had another good day at the Murtoa races yesterday with The Big LaBrownski running a tough race leading the field to finish 2nd. Peculatus ran 5th in the cup. He took the front of the field to the 200m mark and was then taken over by some international horses. Very proud of them both.

07.01.2022 Lucky Rock has had 2 starts with our stable to finish 3rd at Geelong yesterday. He is ordinary at track work but brought his best in the 1000m race. It was nice to see his owners at the races. I hope he can bring us a win soon.

06.01.2022 This is the newest member of horse power in the stable. Maintenance will be a lot easier with this beauty. So excited!!!

06.01.2022 Our home bred Kitty Kanandah/Bushranger turned 3 yesterday. She has trailed and shown ability so will hit the races very soon. It will be an exciting day for us at Shillito racing.

06.01.2022 To start the New Year today we didnt venture far. Just a little way away we took Peculatus to race in the Burrembeet Cup. It was a first up run over 1800 for the big fella and as usual he took the lead early in the race. He was swamped at the 200m race but fought on to finish 4th. The 8yo still has the racing fight in him. He might make his 100k yet!!!

02.01.2022 Our pretty Little Kaphero filly had her first trial over 850m this morning. She handled it professionally as she jumped well and finished 4th. I think she enjoyed it looking at her when she got home!

01.01.2022 Our outing today took The Big Labrownski and Doubtless Road to Seymour. Both boys ran creditably finishing 4th. They pulled up well after their runs and deserve a day in the grass paddock tomorrow.
