25.01.2022 Happy Anniversary to me Yep, it's been two years since I completed my Cert IV in Celebrancy, AND WHAT A WILD RIDE IT'S BEEN! I began this journey because I felt that, at the many weddings I attended, none of the ceremonies were a true representation of the couples who were getting married. There was no fun, no laughter and really no personalisation. I wanted my couples to feel special, I felt it was important that their ceremonies were a true reflection of them both as ind...ividuals and as couples and I wanted their guests to feel involved in their special day. Never in a million years could I have imagined how quickly people would respond to my ceremony style and my fun, relaxed vibe. To the fabby couples I have already had the privilege of bringing together in marriage, thank you all from the bottom of my heart, it has been such an honour and a pleasure to share in your special days. This two year journey has opened my eyes to the extent of work, time and effort it takes to create a beautiful, personalised and unique ceremony. I thought I could easily manage to work full time and take on my celebrant role on the weekend, however this has been a massive challenge. With this in mind I have made a decision to reduce the number of ceremonies I conduct each season to ensure that I continue to have the time to personalise each and every one, and, as my apprenticeship is now over and I have gained valuable knowledge and experience, I'll be increasing my fee for my services as of 1st January, 2021. 18.01.2022 It's been heartbreaking to have to postpone so many of my ceremonies for the coming months, I know my couples are absolutely devastated. As I am also a registered Personal Trainer maybe we should have gone down this route instead, I've run many a bootcamp in my time and at least we could have had 10 People at the wedding! Wish I had seen this article earlier lol! Or, perhaps we could have popped into Kmart and just tapped into their PA system, then we could have had all of ...the guests there (they may have had to go incognito wheeling a trolley, but hey, it would be worth it) All jokes aside, I know this has been a super tough time for my couples and many more lovely people wanting to make their unions official. Please know that when the time is right, your wedding Vendors will do everything they possibly can to make your wedding day amazing. 18.01.2022 The beautiful Belle Chapman Photography has been my bff for 13 years. During this time I've watched her photography hobby become a thriving full time business. This chicky is a brilliant photographer, she captures the emotion of the moment perfectly and creates the most beautiful keepsakes. I'm super excited because next weekend I FINALLY get to work alongside her. 16.01.2022 The lovely Brooke and her man Dan tied the knot at Mewburn Park Homestead a couple of weeks ago. It was a warm balmy day, just perfect for an outdoor wedding at the old stables. This was a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony full of laughs and totally perfect for this loved up duo. 09.01.2022 Rona ISO will be a challenge for many couples. During this weird crazy time of lockdown, challenge yourself to look past surface behaviour and think about the real cause of your partner's (and your own) behaviour. There could be hundreds of reasons for crabbiness eg: boredom, fear, anxiety for the future, sadness, missing family /friends, worried about adult kids etc etc I challenge you every morning, to wake up and think of two things that you love about your partner., then... give them a hug and thank them. Go deep here, there are soooooo many things we take for granted. In times of stress, we all need to know that we are loved, respected and understood by our partners, this is the perfect time to reconnect and come out of this ISO stronger than ever before. Much love to you all beautiful peeps, here are some examples of the things I tell my hubby I am grateful for: *Buying me a coffee on his way home from work *Cooking me gourmet meals every day *Getting out of his comfort zone and making tik tok videos cos he knows I love to have fun *Getting outside and doing building projects even though it's not his thing *Putting up with my perfectionist habits *Listening to all of my concepts to change the world (and acting interested) *Encouraging me to pursue my dreams *his commitment to the CFA and protecting our community *the fact that he will do anything for anyone Etc, etc etc #letthemknowyoulovethem
