16.01.2022 What’s your why for keeping fit & healthy? For a lot of women, me included I think your why usually comes down to looking after yourself for those that you love the most. I know when I train & eat well I feel my best which means I have so much more to offer as a mum, wife & person. ... So many women struggle with the guilt of spending time on themselves for themselves. But really not looking after you & your health could in the long run be the worst thing for those you love. You can’t pour from an empty cup - so fill your cup up first & pour from the overflow

16.01.2022 Hello Wow what a crazy few weeks we have had. At the moment our face to face training has been paused. Its meant looking for answers for the best way to continue to motivate, encourage & support my clients with their health & fitness over this time. ... I’m happy to announce my online training option is now up and running You can join me for any of my 10 online Zoom classes in the comfort of your own home or backyard and have me coach & motivate you. Or if you prefer you will also have access to a recording of the daily workout so you can complete it at a time that suits. I have kept this crazy affordable at a fraction of the cost because well times are tough for a lot of people at the moment. If you’d like some more information simply send me a message. 16.01.2022 That feeling when you hear outdoor group training restrictions have lifted We are so excited to announce that as of next week Shine Fitness is back in action with our face to face women’s only group training. Our online training option has been great but here at Shine we love the face to face interaction, chats, laughs & connection that group training brings. ... Until at least the end of May for the first time ever we are offering casual sessions, currently for just $15 per class. 12.01.2022 Question - how much emphasis do you place on the importance of your physical appearance when exercising? Probably a lot in our experience. Time to shift your mentality and focus on the things you can’t see - the way you feel, the increase in your energy levels, the improvement in your relationships, the positive impact it has on your work life. ... The physical changes will come, but learn to appreciate (and love!) the things you can’t see too
12.01.2022 Exercise is definitely one of those things women seem to procrastinate about. Always thinking you should workout more but for some reason it never seems to happen. The best thing you can do when you have that thought is to take immediate action. Straight away do something, some squats, pushups, lunges anything. You don’t need much space or time but 5mins can start the habit. Action will create momentum & motivation.

11.01.2022 That feeling when you finish your workout is so worth getting up in the dark Winter is only harder to exercise when you are focusing on the obstacles, the dark, the cold.. If your focus is on what you want to achieve and how you want to feel the obstacles don’t seem so important
10.01.2022 Exercise is an incredibly powerful form of stress relief If you are feeling anxious, stressed and worried at the moment aim to do some movement. Even 10mins in your lounge room will make all the difference to your mental state. At the moment exercise should be on your priority list - for mental health, for immunity boosting & for a sense of control and clarity. It may look different at the moment - it may have to be squats & pushups in your lounge room instead. ... Here at Shine Fitness however we are still running our classes as normal, and are of course taking all the appropriate precautions. 07.01.2022 Have you ever found yourself saying I don’t have time to exercise We’ve probably all said it at some point. But the thing about time is we really can create the time for the things that matter & deep down we know that. The great thing about exercise is it also gives you more energy, clarity & focus meaning your daily workout will actually leave you feeling more productive & improve your time management. ... If life is crazy at the moment scrap the feeling of it must be a 1hour workout or its no good. Seriously a 10min, 20min workout can make all the difference.
06.01.2022 I think one thing is for sure post lockdown, we’ll never underestimate or under appreciate the importance and the benefit that getting outdoors and training in a group has for the physical & mental health of women. So many comments from our members about how much happier, calmer & level headed they feel since we were able to return. We’ve had lots of enquires the past few weeks of women wanting to prioritise their fitness & be a part of a uplifting positive community, which is such a great thing! 06.01.2022 Mumma’s did you know kids are welcome at our training sessions? How amazing is it when they copy our good habits. Jaz jumped down to do some elevated hamstring bridges after seeing her mum bust them out.... As mums too often we can use our kids as excuses not to do something for ourselves... instead of seeing that they are the reason why we should.
