23.01.2022 Micro-needling Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) Micro-needling is a minimally-invasive therapy that works by triggering the skin’s own repair mechanisms to naturally produce collagen and elastin. It is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). The foundational principle of this treatment is that by piercing the skin, it will stimulate collagen production.... Micro-needling uses multiple fine needles that vertically pierce the skin. This technique creates micro-openings, allowing active ingredients (such as peptides, anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acid, etc.) to penetrate deeply and effectively into the dermis. This treatment enhances skin rejuvenation results and is much safer than ablative lasers, because there is much less damage to the epidermis (top layer of the skin) making it look more natural and rejuvenated. How is the treatment provided? Using a pen with multiple fine needles, small channels (openings) are created in the skin to allow nutrients, vitamin C hyaluronic acid or Collagen to be absorbed. Inspired by acupuncture techniques, this product allows creams and serums to penetrate deeply and helps active skincare products work more effectively. Our 0.25 mm Derma Roller may be used daily or every other day. This size improves the absorption of applied skin care products. Benefits: Enhance and improve product penetration by up to 40% Assists with Collagen production, minimising fine lines and wrinkles. Effective in aiding treatment of uneven skin tone, facial scars and pigmentation. Active ingredients reach targeted areas more easily. Directions: Thoroughly cleanse your skin to remove all traces of make-up and pat dry with a clean towel. Gently roll up and down across each section of your face, neck & décollatege 3-4 times using an equal speed and light pressure. Avoid eyes and lips. First roll vertically, then horizontally and then diagonally in a Union Jack pattern. Complete this on each area. (You may need to vary the pressure on the more sensitive areas of your face). The treatment should take a couple of minutes and can be repeated 2-3 times a week. With clean hands apply Serum and press onto the skin until absorbed. Products may "spike" or tingle after application. This is a normal sensation. If irritation develops, discontinue use or use less frequently. Ideally, and for optimal results, the dermal roller should be used for up to two minutes 3 times per week. Cleaning: After each use sterilise with (boiling) soapy water using a clean toothbrush or small brush, and gently scrub the roller head. This will remove any debris which can collect on the roller head (dead skin cells, sebum etc.). Then lightly spray the roller head with Isocol minimum 70%. The roller should then be placed back into its plastic container ensuring it stays clean and sterile. Replace after 4-6 months.
