20.05.2022 This is one of my favourite wellness tips! Time in nature is my go-to wellness remedy when I feel overhwhelmed, out of sorts, sad and simply not myself. Nature for me has this grounding and calming energy. Hiking through the bush allows me to slow down and become more present so I can truly see what is in front of me. It allows me to gain clarity while putting on foot in front of the other. Nature is also a sensory experience, just think of the smell of nature, the fresh air... surrounding you, the sounds of nature or where you fit into this big picture. Take time to watch what is going on around you, it makes everything else seems a lot less important. even just for a little while. It certainly is a great quikc-fix to reset and recharge. 21.04.2022 What is your favourite past time to de-stress? Whenever I feel overwhelmed, exhausted, dealing with a monkey brain I cannot settle or sleep deprived, I disconnect - no phone, no wifi - and head out into nature. I love taking long walks in the bush where I can think and regroup or spending time on the water. No need for expensive massages or resorts, time in nature is the perfect remedy. I know it is not easy to just disconnect but it works wonders if you remove the digital... attachments and stressors to immerse yourself in nature. I recommned to take such a time out at least once every 6 months, if you can, more often. Peaceful spots can be found all around you, you simply need to unplug and step away. 16.04.2022 When is the last time you released your inner child? If you are anything like me, I have an overload of responsbility that I sometimes forget to nurture my inner child. I get caught up in the seriouisness of life, all chore and no play. But that little person, that is full of joy, carefree, curious, loving, forgiving, happy, full of imagination and innocense needs to come out and play sometimes. Don't hide it, let it out! How to let your inner child out? Thought you'd never a...sk: 1. Embrace FUN - have a good laugh and do something that brings you so much joy - by the way, it is a great stress release 2. Get creative with arts and crafts - creativity is very therapeutic and again stress busting - colour run or paint pouring comes to mind. 3. Be curious - take time to explore and discover new things - you never know where this may lead you - just keep an open mind 4. See things from a different perspective - let a child guide you and see the world through their eyes - you will be surprised. 5. Don't walk - skip. Yes literally, skip your way through the park or to the train station. Skipping increases this happy feeling inside 6. Crank up your imagination - simply believe in the magic of the unseeable. Dream a little or a lot. Give it a go and see how you feel.
