07.01.2022 In the twenty minutes or so since I created this page, I've had several messages from parents who have children with ADHD who are struggling at school. This is often because teachers, through no fault of their own, have very little understanding about ADHD. One of the first projects I've been working on is a presentation I hope to do at schools, for teachers and parents, in which I tell the story of how I went undiagnosed till I was 38 years old. I hope this might highlight the reasons behind me slipping through the cracks, as well as how frustrated my teachers and parents were at my inability to thrive in the school environment. 01.01.2022 This heartbreaking video goes a long way to explaining why I started Shiny Mind Inc. When you see the effect of ADHD on these young minds, you can only imagine the long term effects of being undiagnosed into adulthood. It almost ruined my life. In fact, it wouldn't be hyperbolic to say it almost killed me. Shiny Mind Inc is my attempt to bring awareness and understanding to ADHD, and to help educate parents, teachers, employers, employees and friends of my fellow Shiny Minded!
