22.01.2022 .. I can’t help but want to share this close-up photo of the English Paper Pieced periwinkle star which features in the centre of my Lady Margaret quilt. The design with the combination of the feature fabrics and the creams and then the shirting diamonds, was cemented in place when ‘Margaret’ rotated the cream periwinkle (accidentally) by one turn during our Tuesday sewing session one day! funny how a small action can have such wonderful positive gains. The movement it... gave to the stars was just perfect. Lady Margaret is being offered as a BOM program,with a small intake, so it will be a special project indeed in the exact same fabrics as the original. Riley Blake has done an amazing job of reproducing these prints from the original Jane Austen Coverlet held in a museum in Tge UK.
