21.01.2022 Come along and have breakfast on Saturday 15th June.

21.01.2022 I hope everyone is coping with being in isolation. It certainly seems to be working in 'flattening the curve' (getting a bit sick of that term). While things are still very uncertain, unless we have a spike of cases during the relaxation of restrictions, I am becoming a bit excited that we will be able to have our 15th August Shire Clerk's Cottage Market and 130th birthday celebration for the cottage. Currently, I have had confirmation from most stallholders that they wil...l be at the market, and I also have a list of people who would like to participate. We may have to forgo the indoor areas this time around, but I am putting some plans in place if this is the case. As most of you are aware, our market is run entirely by volunteers, and our volunteers all happen to be in the high risk category, so the market will only go ahead if it is completely safe to do so. Looking forward to catching up with everyone again after such a long break. See more

20.01.2022 Fabulous day for a market. Perfect weather. A huge range of stalls. Devonshire Teas on the Shire Clerks Cottage verandah were very popular. A big thank you to all our volunteers who worked all day to make it a huge success. Lovely to get so much positive feedback from stallholders and public.

19.01.2022 Come along and see 15 year old Tom. Tom has many life challenges, but has great talent. He and his beautiful support dog Ivy will be entertaining in the auditorium tomorrow.

18.01.2022 Sorry I didnt get a chance to take many photos yesterday. The weather beat me. What a shame Mother Nature decided to rain on our parade. Things were rolling along beautifully, lots of foot traffic, Bay FM sharing the love on radio and a brilliant array of market stalls. Thanks to Rotary for taking care of our outdoor food outlet, The Mens Shed helping with set up, parking and clean up, and to our band of wonderful volunteers. I hope our stall holders all got packed up before the storm hit. Next Market is our Christmas Market on Saturday 14th December.

14.01.2022 As per our post on Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre, we have not made an official decision on the running of the Shire Clerks Cottage Market on 18th April, it is extremely unlikely to be able to go ahead. Under current Government regulations, we would not be able to have indoor stalls, and the cottage and Devonshire Teas also would be not viable. A definite decision will be made in the next few days. Stallholders who have paid for the cancelled March 21 markets and who have not requested a refund of their fees, if you decide you would rather have a refund than carry them over to the next market, please email [email protected] with your bank details. Julie.

13.01.2022 Some more from our last market in February. Dont miss out on the next one. Saturday, 13th April, 8am to 1pm. 241 Tingal Rd Wynnum. Some stalls still available. 3m x 3m outdoor just $15, and a couple of 1.5m indoor tables $10. Email [email protected] to book.

13.01.2022 So sorry everyone, but we have decided in the interest of our volunteers, our stall holders and the public, that we will not be holding our Shire Clerks Cottage Market next Saturday, 21st March.

11.01.2022 Just to clarify - the Shire Clerks Cottage is a historic building which is filled with old furniture, artefacts and memorabilia. It is open for viewing by the public during our Shire Clerks Cottage Market, this Saturday. Indoor stalls are not in the cottage. They are in the auditorium of the adjoining Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre.

09.01.2022 Just a few pics of some of the amazing things you will find at our Shire Clerks Cottage Spring Fair this Saturday.

06.01.2022 So sad we won't be having our market next week. We wish everyone a happy and safe Easter. We look forward to being able to see all our volunteers, stallholders and supporters once life gets back to normal (whatever normal will be). It's going to be a huge celebration for everyone once we can resume our regular activities.

02.01.2022 If you missed last Saturdays market, you missed a fantastic day. Perfect weather and the best range of market stalls we have had brought the public out in droves. And our Devonshire Teas on the Shire Clerks Cottage verandah are growing in popularity. Our awesome volunteers served 100 scones, tea and coffee. And our President and Canteen Convenor Bev was kept busy keeping up the supply of freshly baked scones. It all happens again in 9 weeks time, 15th June, so if you missed the last one, make a note in your calendar now.

02.01.2022 We sell the cheapest and best food in the Bayside.
