23.01.2022 Local artist: Joanne Francis https://www.facebook.com/JoanneFrancisCreations/ https://www.instagram.com/joannefranciscreations/... These incredible pastels are difficult to do justice in a photograph - they are on display at the Plantagenet Business Development Centre. Here is Joanne's work in her own words: "Fresh air, open spaces, subtle colour changes, beautiful skies, texture, the wonder of the natural world and its creations are an inspiration for my creations. Farm life, nature, the garden, the Ranges, and places with water are reflected in images created. 'Of nature' is a term that could be used in relation to my paintings and my basketry creations. Being immersed in beautiful natural surroundings speaks to my spirit. I seek peace and tranquillity. To get lost in a beautiful scene looking far into the distance, the horizon or the sky as this sooths the spirit. I enjoy painting, making basket-like creations, and teaching basketry skills in classes." #plantagenetart #PBDC
