03.01.2022 The State Government is introducing a COVID-19 Contact Register System on December 5. Everybody will be required to register when using various community facilities within the Shire. This will include the libraries, gyms, halls and the Shire office. To increase the efficiency of the system the SafeWA app has been released, allowing patrons to register at locations digitally. The Shire recommends community members download and familiarise themselves with the app before the... deadline. Your privacy is taken very seriously and data will be encrypted at the point of capture, stored securely and only be accessible by authorised Department of Health contact tracing personnel, should COVID-19 contact tracing be necessary. This same requirement for registration will apply to a number of other facilities such as food and licenced venues, places of worship, beauty and personal care services. An alternative register system will also be available for those who do not have access to the app. See more
