19.01.2022 KATANNING RATE PAYERS PRIZE Five lucky winners of the Rates Incentive Prize were awarded by Council at the November Ordinary Council Meeting last week. The Rates Incentive Prize Competition was open to ratepayers of the Shire of Katanning, who paid their rates in full by the due date. The vouchers, valued at $1,000 each, allow the winners to spend their prize at local businesses who are members of the Katanning Regional Business Association, adding value to businesses in Kata...nning. 17.01.2022 COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM 2020/2021 - APPLICATIONS DUE BY MONDAY 30 NOVEMBER 2020. Just under a week left to get applications in for the Community Grants Program. The Shire of Katanning Community Grants Program (CGP) provides funding support in 2 categories of up to, and over $5,000 each, to enable the Shire to support projects that promote community capacity, improve social participation and inclusion as well as enhance community harmony and social cohesion.... Each application will be assessed against the following criteria: a) Does the project: Meet a community need? Benefit a sufficiently broad, or diverse, target group? Align with the Shire of Katanning community vision? b) Does the organisation have the capacity to undertake and manage the project? c) Does the application represent value for money? Collaborative community wide projects are encouraged. To submit an application for CGP funding, applicants must complete an application form located on the Shire of Katanning website at https://www.katanning.wa.gov.au/community-grants.aspx or at the Shire of Katanning administration building. 14.01.2022 COVID-19: CONTACT REGISTERS As of Saturday 5 December, particular businesses and venues in Western Australia must maintain a contact register of their staff and patrons for COVID-19 contact tracing, if required. Anyone who attends particular businesses or venues will be required to register their contact details, unless getting take-away. This includes patrons, staff, volunteers and contractors. The contact register records will only be held for 28 days.... Contact registers will be required for the following Shire of Katanning Facilities: Katanning Library, Art Gallery & Community Room Katanning Leisure Centre Katanning Aquatic Centre Katanning Saleyards (canteen users only) Katanning Town Hall If COVID-19 is detected in the WA community, contact registers help to protect us all by enabling the WA Health Contact Team to quickly identify and assist anyone that may have been exposed to COVID-19.
